I got some bad news.... Ever since I posted and bought all those stuff online.. I have already gone thru 4 cartons of parliament..

And Looks like my order will not be shipped until the Pre-sale is done..I had no idea about this.... (Efun.top) I don't think I would ever order again from this site..

In the mean time... Im thinking about getting something... since I have the Eleaf 60w and istick coming.. what else should I try or get? Like a good back up...

Having a backup is a great idea, and you will also have a chance to compare two devices pretty much right at the start. Please keep us updated on that vendor, and let the members know how long it took in total.

The Herkales does make temp control coils, by the way. in fact, I have 2 of them because they're compatible with my Triton. That Herkales tank is very nice one too... best of luck!

No no no, you want the 60W TC... you chose well. 100+ watt devices are for making huge clouds, you can go for that later. Right now, you need to quit smoking by recreating the smoking experience. And your mod/tank is more than capable of doing that.

Just for comparison: I have an IPV 3 Li, it's capable of 200 watts, and I can barely use it above 90W right now. So don't worry about big numbers. 60W is more than enough... you chose well. Not to mention, the iStick 100 doesn't have temp control, so you'd be shut out from a great form of vaping altogether...

No - if you read the description from VapeNW you have to buy a separate 18650. And you'll need a charger for that battery - always a good idea to get two batteries so you have a spare!

But I have a different problem now... My throat is swelling.. If I vape on a little too much my throat swells... Like 3~4 times vape....

I've been drinking mad coffee and taking bags of throat drops..

I was expecting this for maybe 2 days.. but it is not going away.. Some people tell me its b/c of the 6mg nicotine.. but I also, have 3 mg nicotine.. and its the same..

and now throat drops dont even work..

The other bottles I have all say vg/pg nicotine

I'll dump all the stuff out of the tank and fill it up with MaxVG and see if it helps..

Are you using your device on TC properly? Could stand to lower the temp, or the wattage if you're in wattage mode. And don't use a TC coil in wattage mode! that equals BURNINATION.

Not sure.. but when I got my stuff I went to the shop.. and my buddy set it at 40w.. with the coil that was in the tank..

Ah... I killed a couple packs yesterday..
Max VG has my throat swelling again... today I bought some Max VG with no nicotine.. I dumped all the stuff in my tank and loaded it up with the no nicotine.. but my throat still has problems vaping.. could it be the leftover in the tank?

Or should I try a different brand ? I heard some people say it might be the brand of the VG..

Any online places to get some quality juice?

Man, that sucks. I doubt its an inferior vg that's doing it but who knows.
Maybe someone in this thread knows and you can search for swelling throat and see if you can find discussions about it. If you cant find anything maybe start a new thread asking abiut it in the DIY section, lots of juice knowledge there.

Sorry to hear your having trouble. May I suggest getting a Nautilus Mini Tank, with a 1.8 ohm coil, and go back to mouth to lung vaping style? Might have to up the nic level a bit, but maybe huge direct lung hits might be giving you the throat trouble. Vapenw has a good selection of juice online, and you know about the super fast shipping. Hope it gets better for 'ya.

Yadi, try turning the wattage down. It may be a case of "it's just too damn high, and the vape is too hot"

The only time I hit 40+ watts, is with my Smok tank. But that monster at 45, is cooler than my Kanger at 30 watts.
Everything else runs from 18 - 25. Even lower if I stick a 1.2 ohm OCC in my tank.

I went through a brief period of chest pains, as I got into vaping. That really concerned me at my age. A couple of friends helped me out, and it's been all good since.

Keep in mind, we buy mods for a reason. So we can adjust them to our taste and needs. If you're just trying to quit, concentrate on that aspect and what you need from your mod to produce the results. Hell, I ran sub ohm coils at 7 & 8 watts at one time.

You will get used to a lot of vapor in a week or so, just use lower watts to start with to reduce vapor production... whatever makes you conformable vaping.

Lots of vapor = lots of nicotine so if your getting a subohm type of tank, dont start with a high nic juice like you think you need (like 24mg) or you will be turning green and getting a nic overdose within a minute or two of vaping.

There are a million and one different juices on the market, the juice you like is sooooo up to you. It's such a personal preference thing its hard to say which one will be right for you. Just about every juice out there will be safe, just do some reading here at VU and of course google searches and you are going to have to try many different juices to find what you like. Tobaccos? Fruits? Desserts?
I tried an organic, extract type juice and it was meh, just ok. And how do you get an organic juice while using PG? Guess you cant and you get a VG, flavor extract and some water to thin it out juice. Those max VG juices usually dont work well in tanks and are made for dripping in a RDA.
Nothing wrong with the regular juices, keep it simple to start with. The worst thing to have happen is spend a bunch of $$ on vape stuff and have it not work well when combined together and then you go buy a pack of Parliaments lol

Good luck on quitting!

One thing to avoid: Diacetyl. It is not very common, but beware of cheap imports from certain countries that may not restrict it or care what you inhale. It would be in the flavoring, I think.

Evic VTC mini and a subtank mini should do the trick for you. One thing I love about the VTC mini is that it's firmware upgradeable which makes it better than the subox mini. It is also 75w where as the subox is 50w and the VTC mini has temperature control should you wish to try that out. Along with all these feautures, the new update let's you use Pre-heat.

The subtank mini is a really nice beginner tank which will suit your vaping style. It's a mouth to lung tank which is exactly what you looking for. This tank can be rebuilt using the RBA or you could purchase coils. This is a very nice thing since you no longer will need to buy coils once you get comfortable with building your own coils.

Those vids are of vapers doing Direct Lung inhales. People who are quitting smoking, tend to use a mouth to lung inhale, basically exactly like you do with regular cigarettes. A 1.8 to 1.5 coil and low airflow (to make a tight draw, like you get from a cigarette) will help. Nevermind what people on youtube are doing. If you are only vaping to quit smoking, 95% of it does not apply.

Now as to vape juice..
The main thing is nicotine. That is what you are going to crave, that is what you get from vaping on nicotine ejuice.
the other 2 main ingredients are Vegetable Glycerine and Propylene Glycol. Both will cause slight lung irritation but not nearly as much at tobacco smoke. PG has more of a throat hit (like smoking) and is harsher. VG also has this throat hit but not nearly as much as the PG. I can vape pure VG but not pure PG.
Flavoring is basically the same flavoring you eat every day in every food you swallow. Yes, even your organically grown happy tomatoes from contented tomato plants from Sunny Field Farms. (ok I'm making fun of milk from happy cows and eggs from free range chickens) Essentially.. the flavor is literally extracted from the same food we eat or made artificially, which has the IDENTICAL chemical make up as the organic. IE natural vanilla is identical to artificial vanilla chemically.

Flavoring also may contain distilled water and some contain alcohol. (the same as in beer, but in pure form). The amounts are trade secrets of the flavoring companies, but traditionally ejuice may contain 5 to 20% flavor. So at 20% flavor, if you vape 5ml per day, the flavor makes up 1ml of that. Of that 1ml even if it were pure alcohol (which it isn't) you would have to vape 5ml per day for about 11 days to equal 1 shot of whiskey (40% alcohol/vol). In other words.. 2 drops of whiskey per hour for 24 hours for 11 days to = 1oz. Try not to get to rowdy... nobody likes a mean drunk. LOL. This is just for a comparison as to how much at an absolute max could be in your flavoring. We know though that the flavoring is not 100% alcohol, which is what i did use for the calculations. Maybe closer would be 4/5th drops per hour. So really, not even enough to be bothered thinking about.

You are buying into the media fear mongering RR. Hate to break this to you, but there is 100 to 750 times the amount of diacetyl in cigarette smoke as there is in even the most buttery ejuice. Diacetyl has been linked to popcorn workers lung, a rare lung disorder. Diacetyl is what provides that "buttery flavor" in microwave popcorn, movie theater popcorn, butter pecan ice cream, pretty much anything that tastes "buttery".

So far, there are 9 documented cases of popcorn workers lung. 8 of those were in popcorn factory workers where there was a high content of buttery flavor in the air, and they did not use protective filter masks *like you see at the hospital when someone has a cough*. The last case is questionable, but did result in a 6 million dollar settlement. This was related to eating (so the person claimed) 2 bags of popcorn per day for a 20 year period.
There has never been any instance of popcorn workers lung from vaping
There has never been any instance of popcorn workers lung from smoking (even at 100 to 750 times the amount present in vape juice)
There has never been any instance of popcorn workers lung from eating popcorn at the movie theater, even if you soak it in buttery topping
And only one alleged case from eating microwave popcorn for an extended period of time. Even this is doubtful, since you swallow popcorn, not inhale it.
Now, of all the popcorn factory workers world wide.. only 8 have been diagnosed with popcorn workers lung.
