Finally broke down and ordered some of the natures ginger so I could make this. I tried a little to start with, but the next day man do the cloves and ginger pop. I know it was a while ago but thanks for the post on this HIC, I've also picked up some of your gumroad recipes and have been enjoying them!
If you can get Flavor West's Ginger, it's the next-best option for this recipe. It's not as tasty, certainly not as strong, but given that ginger is just one of several spices, and just an accent flavor, FW will work here if you use at least twice as much. I've tested it in this recipe; it is better than leaving out ginger completely.Oh I really wish they do, because NF Ginger is impossible to find anywhere close to me

FA might make great flavors but their packaging dept is evidently run by chimps.
FA labels have always been un-readable and faded quickly. But their snap-caps really took stupid to the next level.
Thank goodness BCV responded quickly (by re-bottling in screw-cap bottles) to this problem.
