Nintendo Famicom Mini owners have unearthed a secret message hidden deep within its code.
Via Siliconera, the code reads as so:
“This is hanafuda captain speaking. Launching emulation in 3..2..1. Many efforts, tears and countless hours have been put into this jewel. So, please keep this place tidied up and don't break everything!
“Cheers, the hanafuda captain.”
That "don't break everything" message could be seen as a message to potential hackers looking to alter the emulation machine's base code - unfortunately for the hanafuda captain, Ars Technica today reports that the NES Mini has indeed been hacked.
