Hollywood
Hollywood by Babel is the second liquid I've tried from this brand. When we think of Hollywood, we think of movies, and popcorn goes hand in hand with that. In this case, salted caramel popcorn. Thanks to Vapeo24 for making this review possible; you can visit their page to learn more about them and the liquid.
According to the manufacturer: Perfect to accompany you and sweeten your "couch, blanket, and Netflix" session like no other, the new Hollywood by Babel offers a genuine taste of freshly popped popcorn with its distinguished sweetness accompanied by a slight salty nuance. An ideal experience for your moment of disconnecting in front of the screen while enjoying your favorite movie or series.
On the nose, I definitely get popcorn. Along with it, there is a deep caramel aroma, and you can even notice the salty touch in the scent—I absolutely love this. I also pick up a small alcoholic note again in the aroma. In short, the liquid is aromatically very well-defined and matches the description very well.
On the vape, we have to keep in mind that this was tested on an RDA with handmade coils, so the result could vary on a POD-type device. I can taste the popcorn very well, although the caramel flavor is much more muted than in the smell. For me, the salty touch disappears completely when vaping. Also, I notice a coffee note that I'm not quite sure where it comes from, but perhaps it's from the flavor combination itself.
In short, the liquid promises a lot in terms of smell—it's really incredible—but the flavor falls a bit short as it leaves something to be desired in comparison. Still, it's not a bad liquid, because it does recreate the flavor quite well, just much less powerfully. I would have liked the salted caramel to stand out a lot more.
