Hot mod and dead battery

I just got a Dovpo Punisher 80 a couple days ago. It's my first mod and everything seems to have been working fine but a little while ago I retrieved it from my jacket pocket and it was very warm to the touch and the battery that was almost full 6 hours earlier was dead. I don't know the brand of the battery but it's a 18650 3,000mAh 3.7V. Is it the mod or a bad battery?

Sounds like the fire button got held down in your pocket and it drained the battery. I could be wrong, but happens a lot.

That's exactly what I was thinking - was there an atty on it?

I thought that but it didn't burn any juice and I don't think there was any way physically for it to be held down.

Yeah there's an Innokin Axium on it. I let the battery charge back up and put it in again and it seems to be working just fine.
