How do we get original batteries like samsungs and LG's?

Hi people, I have joined a torch forum and brought up efest seems to be a brand most stay away from. That was not a good move. I might as well of urinated on a picture or muhammed in Iraq. They went absolotely mad at me, saying I only have 26 post, Efest are the most respected battery maker (I pointed out rewrapper).

My argument was why get the Efest when you can get the cell that Efest originally used, in A grade? But no, efest still make the best batteries to some of them. I also found out Efest are the only manufacturer of 10440's (I think) and they said they work great. I didn't think they made batteries, how does this work?

My main question is this:how do we get 18650's that are mass produced by say samsung, and not meant for consumers(according to the flashlight forum) they sell the surplus. So Do the vape shops buy surplus? I imagine they have to buy large amounts to do this. Is it even true they are not for consumers like they are saying?

I also explained it is because I am a vaper, and they advertise a battery at 20 AMP but it could be as low as 4. In a flashlight that wont matter, but in a vape it could explode in your face, so I think because it was less dangerous to them it didn't matter, or they did not want to hear it.

So, how do we get original batteries if they are not meant for the public?

Short answer...
they are made for the public but not made for vaping.

For starters,a 10440 is a flashlight/torch or mini scale RC cell.
there's a HUGE difference between a 10440 and an 18 sized cell.
neither were designed with vaping in mind but here we are.
tell those guys to get bent and stay here...

And no,efest are not the only mfcrs to "make" 10440 sized cells.
I've been using 10440's in my mini scale rc's for close to 10 years and not a damn one of them had efest written on them.
you're talking to imbiciles so stop wasting your time.

The real funny thing is, if you get them at reputable site, like the one mentioned above, they are cheaper. Why in the world would you pay more for less? Its like I said before, shiny stickers...

He's in the UK I believe. Jon doesn't ship outside of North America.
While there are a few good reliable sources here stateside, given shipping and taxes etc. involved in getting them in the UK, I don't know enough to make a recommendation.

I should have known he was from the UK. We call a torch a flashlight here in the states.

I knew he was from the UK, but totally missed the "torch forum" thing. Guess I've been watching too many tv shows from there.

@conanthewarrior - I would imagine that batteries intended for manufacturer to manufacturer sales get diverted from the manufacturing stream a variety of ways. Kinda like any grey market goods. I'd say the biggest way is there is probably a Sony authorized B2B (business to business) distributor or two out there that will sell to anyone, not just manufacturers.

I found another flashlight forum, that also has a vaping section, I asked them what they thought of Efest, and the didnt rate them highly at all. I will use that forum for my torch/flashlight related questions ( I needed a new one, thats why I joined a forum. I then realised when I most need It I probably wont have it, so went on to get a good keyring flashlght lol)

And I just think the people on there were imbeciles, they even stated because of my post count how dare I insult one of the best manufacturers of batteries, made me lol :).

Ok, so they are actualy made for the public to use? Not just in laptop baterries and the like? I guess 18650's are for torches, as thats what powers the torch I have coming. As on that forum they said the only way to get originals is if there is surplus from other uses, which I think is bull.(Could be true, but they are idiots anyway).

I have found a vape shop that sells 25R's, and they do put if anything is a clone so I belive the three I have to be genuine, and I did double check with them and they said they are vapers themselves so wouldn't risk selling fakes.
They work well, and last me the day, and don't even get warm, so all good there.

It's nice to know a place that is guaranteed to get authentic batteries.
Just ordered some sony's from lion wholesale. Thx for the link.
I've purchased genuine vtc 4 batteries from ebay but when one shows up D.O.A.
It doesn't really matter if it's real, if it's real old!

I've been using rtdvapor.com and imrbatteries.com for about a year to buy my samsungs. Bot excellent websites and fair prices. I usually buy 4-6 at a time and have always received authentic batteries. My local b&m uses imr I think.
