How do you keep/ cycle/ switch between your atomizers?

Hi, as a new vaper (5 months) I'm currently owning 6 RDAs and 1 RTA with different juice flavors on each of them.
My question is, for those who have multiple atomizers, how do you usually cycle through them?
Do you:
a. Keep the them all built, wicked, and juiced and just switch between them whenever you feel like? or,
b. Use one till the juice run dry (but not dry hit) - clean it - keep it safe - build another atomizer - repeat the process?

I'm currently doing point A above because throughout the day I just switch flavors and atomizers whenever I like. But today I was thinking that it is 'unwise', considering the durability of your coils and/or the longevity of your atomizers if you keep them wicked and juiced and just sitting there waiting to be use.
Please do give your advice. Thanks in advance!

I just build as I go, I'm vaping on at least 2-3 daily but I have a good size of a collection of devices. I'll just switch to other atty's when ever I'm in the mood and build then.

I also follow option A. I’ve 4 tanks 3 rdta and 2 rda all built, wicked, juiced and ready to go whenever I want. Based on the flavor I am getting from them I decide if they need re-wicking, re-coiling or just cleaning and that tank goes into the “to be cleaned” box as a weekend task.

This is a good idea for a topic. Option A for me.

I have two mods with two juices ( one single coil with 6mg, the other is dual coil with zero) I use for outside the house in the warm weather and running errands. Three mods with single coil rtas with three different 6mg juices for chilling around the house. And one mod with a goon on top of it for vaping zero mg juices around the house. All six juiced up and always there waiting for me to pick them up and vape.

That was a very specific roles you got there. Lol. I thought me pairing juices with their specific attys were already quite OCD-ish lol.

Okay, so far from the responses that I'm getting there are no significant impacts toward the coils and/or the attys themselves if we keep them juiced?
There are some of my attys that could be sitting idle for 3 days before i picked them up. Is that also okay as per your experience?

Yeah, I like having mods/attys designated like that. Some mods I like more than others so those stay in the house where I know they won't get trashed. The dual coil zero nic mods I use for making tasty clouds.

I haven't noticed anything and I've left mods sit for much longer than three days. That's with SS and Kanthal coils.

KingPin!

In my defence, I was left unsupervised ^^

I try not to have more than three on the go at any one time drives me nuts having too much out at once and, if I can get away with it preferably two set ups at any one time ...the rest get cleaned up and stored until I get them back out switch what I’m using

Interesting subject! For me it's a bit of A and a bit of B. :)

Right now, for example I have 5 mods and tanks/rdas on my desk in front of me, all ready to go when I press fire. o_O
I just like to change flavours every so often. One flavour goes with coffee, another one is nice and refreshing, etc etc you get the picture.
On top of my vape cupboards are two other juiced up tanks, which I maybe take a few toots from every other day. One is an overpriced tobacco flavour which I don't even like that much, but can't get myself to just clean and rinse the half-full tank. I've had a few flavours like that, and some grew on me over time, so this one's getting a chance too.

I don't think it harms your rda, tank or coil to have juice inside for an extended period of time, does it?

Unless the flavor goes bad if it sits for too long. And of course the atty leaks  and you didn’t know it was a leaker ;)

Fair points, but if something leaks while it's just standing there (in a little atty stand, so it's upright), then you only have yourself and your wicking to blame :p
Flavour going bad is an interesting point. Rule of thumb is about a year isn't it?

after years of vaping there are 3 attys I keep coming back to...those stay in rotation. I will occasionally pull something different into the mix, just for fun.....but usually those 3 are wicked and juiced.

LMAO. This is so true and found this out for myself about two hours ago. Out of boredom I grabbed one of my Herakles drippers and it pissed out of the afc. The cotton wasn't soaked but my fingers were, lol. Took it apart to find out juice was leaking down the seam between the insulator and the deck and down through the 510 pin into where the airflow comes in at the bottom of the atty. I've noticed this problem before but had not pinpointed it and figured I had been over dripping. Oops.

So I salvaged the grub screws and screw drivers from them and pitched all six drippers into the recycling bin. May they serve a better purpose in their next recycled life. :giggle:

I usually have around 5 or 6 mods with RTA's on them with different flavors ready to go.
I'm out of town 5 days at a time and I take 3 of them with me and the others sit at home.
After I get back I'll start hitting the others. I don't notice any problems doing it this way. Juice still tastes good and the SS coils still last.
I do however close the air vents, install drip tip covers, and take the tanks of the mods and put them in 510 holders when I leave in case they decide to leak.
I live in a wooded area so I have many little creatures around. Once had a ladybug inside my drip tip and I didn't know it. Also a honeybee a few times.
Those were surprise hits! Firm believer of drip tip covers now.

It’s not always your wicking, remember the Merlin rta? :D
I’m really not sure how long it takes to go bad, just putting it out there :)

I don't vape anything that's been sitting around for more than a couple of days. The cotton and juice gets ratty looking and I won't be vaping that without a re-wicking. I keep only 2 tanks ready to go at any one time.

I rotate and Sunday night is build time. Have two cutting boards with holes drilled to serve as my atty stands. Board A is clean, board B is dirty/in use.

Once an atty is considered "dirty" or I'm done with the juice for the time being it goes there. Then at random points when time allows clean and they go to the back of the clean board for build. Sometimes all of this occurs Sunday.

Sunday night build them all up while watching Walking Dead. Replace coils and cotton. I don't generally use "fancy" coils so replacing the coils is very inexpensive.

Repeat.

You can fit a lot of atty's on a $2 cutting board. This is a clean board.

Used to cycle between quite a few different attys.
Found what I like best and now pretty much only use 1 model of RDA and one model of RBA tank.
Piffed out most of the rest.
I do have multiples of what I like and keep a few wicked and ready to go if I burn a wick or need to recoil I just swap out attys.
Then clean/re-wick/rebuild the other one when convenient.

I have three tanks and one mod.. I probably fall in category A
I cycle between only two of them.. a subohm and RTA.. with different juices.
I mainly use the RTA tho and pretty much retired the last RTA, a Serpent smm.

I have kept some original Serpent RTA's as I use them with my Kato clone mods. They vape nice and work perfectly in the Kato clones.

Two at a time.
I have identical tanks, coiled and wicked identically.
I have a fruity juice in one, custardy in the other. I swap them when the juice is out in the 'active' one.
Keeps me happy, no adjustments to my mods, no surprises in vaping. If/when I get new tanks, I get a pair and find what coil/wick works the best in them.
Between making juice, coils, and wicking I spend about an hour a week.

I like to have "for work/driving" and "for home" mods/setups. Any extra Atty become the "time to change this and/or compare it to.."

Being cheap, I stick to whatever single flavor I've brewed up that week/month.

Here is the cleaning process with some pics. I do a lot of local trading and get used stuff. People are sometimes disgusting so its a critical tool in my opinion. I use dawn soap and sometimes a little ever clear if the used item came from someone under 25.

Had a run of juices that didn't sit well and want to do something else (see trade section)

These are the ones getting cleaned. There is exactly one clone in here, can you spot it?
oi53q.jpg

Everything gets torn down, coils/cotton removed. Screws tightened back in and visually inspected for issues. I love these towels because of the lines and I can keep everything together to make the ultrasonic cleaner runs easier to keep track of each piece and what it belongs to.
6pc4zm.jpg

The crusty and the ones that just tasted like ass.
315ib7a.jpg

At this point throw in the metal pieces (generally two-three at a time, opposing colors to make for easy ID), hand wash the glass and seals and every time I pass by just pull out the basket, throw in some more, rinse everything off and repeat.

This happened.
2mocrpy.jpg

Once everything is done, turn it all hole side down and let it dry. Reassemble, build and carry on.

Only one of these Digiflavor Fuji's is getting built tonight. I like my Sunday ritual building.
