How do you know when to change the batteries?

I am the opposite to most on this thread, I mainly vape regulated, but also enjoy mechanical mods too. I think they both have their place.

For me, I find regulated easier, more of a plug and play style of use that offers ease of use to new vapers, and older vapers alike. They offer things like Temp control, and power doesn't noticeably drop during the discharge of your battery (Within reason, if you are vaping at very high power settings power may be reduced by the mod).

A mech I enjoy as I know I am the safety features on it, and make sure my builds are perfect (I/you should do this with a regulated mod too though) using an external Ohm reader.
I tend to use mechs more for dripping too, and tanks on regulated mods.

I find with regulated, for beefier coils you can eliminate ramp up by adjusting the power, while with a mech you need to plan your builds more to the device. It feels a bit more arty building for a mech if that makes sense lol.
I also do understand what people mean by mechs offering a 'smoother' vape. Depending on you, you may prefer this, or prefer the feel of a regulated mod.
