How do you wick your cloud builds?

Just curious on how you guys have yours set up. I use the basic "Z" wicking with the tails barely touching the drip well.

Edit: Update on the z wicking. If you are having troubles keeping the top bit from collapsing vape it dry before letting it sit. I vaped mine dry whenever I used it today instead of letting it sit all day like I usually do. After 1 day of use my cotton is still as fluffy and new looking as when I first wicked it when normally it would have collapsed a bit by now.

I have an Xcube 2 with a Mutation X v4. 24g 10 wrap dual coil at .47 ohms and wicked her HEAVY. Im starting to lean more towards a hefty wick everytime now. It Helps the Mutation v4 has DEEP juice wells. But yeh, definitley pleased with more cotton/a thicker wick. I know my cameras not that great and you are probably looking for the dry shot but check it out

More wick, more juice, better hit. If you hit a dripper too hard, it will burn on you. Love my 30 mm Dripper. Cloud machine. FT $ 12.00 ;)

The first thing I had been taught/learned about wicking was to "use that cotton." Yes there can be too much wick. Heck, at first I thought I was using quite a bit of cotton (thats what I use, you may use different). Just recently though I started LOADIN THEM PUPPIES UP and juicin the living crap out of em' and it chucks clouds with tons of flavor.

I pad all my builds. More is better. Don't choke the build. I use all of the juice wells capacity to make a wet wick. Clouds are awesome.

See, I only wicked my mutation x v4 heavy because it leaks like a son of a bitch. Started by filling up the whole juice well with cotton. Also they aren't that deep in my honest opinion, most rdas I see are almost the same if not the same.

Found if I wicked it like a O instead it helped the v4 a lot with leaks.

I would take the tail and cover that could half of the well then take the other one and do the same with the opposite tail. Then take the left over tails and wrap them around the negative posts and tuck it in with the tails going to the juice well so it looks like a big O from above if that makes sense.

I loved that rda but after about 1 month of having it I realized I never used the under coil air flow because it would always leak through it so I was better off with an rda that had a full circle well instead. I just got my new one and have yet to decide which I like more.

I know for a fact not to make them too thick since the cotton needs to expand in the coils though (don't choke her).

I started Z wicking because it'll wick better with gravity's help rather than up from the juice well.

My Z wick in my new project sub ohm swirlfish v2. The tails have about 2 mm in the juice well on average but it wicks like a champ.

Maybe I had too much/little but I tried that and the top cotton collapsed in a few hours of usage and it pretty much stopped dropping into the well afterward. If I can get it to work it seems the perfect solution for 4 post drippers and trying to refill without removing the cap/tip

I've never had that happen so far. I have done it with long tails coating the entire juice well also and didn't have issues.

I'll post a picture of my O wicking next time I use it though. I have never seen anybody do it before so maybe I made a new method... Honestly the O wick sounds like it wouldn't be good for 4 post drippers but it does a great job on the mutation x v4 since all the juice you drip straight in will go up through the wicks in the juice well. If you over drip the rings around it will keep it in the rda so it helps immensely with leakage and won't restrict the airflow. I think it would work well with any type of 4 post though.

My second attempt worked out much better. Went much less thickness, not quite as deep in the well (like you said you do) and used organic cotton sheet instead of ball.
Flavor has increased dramatically over the Scottish thingy I normally do , cloud production is down maybe a 10th, if that and I normally vape the one I'm using at 35 watts but even as high as 50 watts it was still cool and juicy like I like I used just the leftover in the well when putting the wick in and it was soaked by the time I was done. I got 20 hits before I decided not to push my luck any further and added juice. I usually draw between 3-4 seconds with each inhale of the 50vg/50pg/0 nicotine strawberry mango I'm using right now.
.5 dc, 2.5mm id Kanthol coil in a Lush rda that has 6 adjustable air holes beside the coils area.

I don't know where this belongs. My Taifun GT ll just got here. Looks like pre built Ti Coils. 3mm Braid wick. Built it, What the Hell. 10 watts, it blows clouds like a comp RDA. But the flavor is Max. Plus 10! Got the temp @ 515 on a Sigelei 75w. I'm Damned Impressed. I think I paid 21.00 for it, & recommend it highly. :) FT took a month to get here.

It doesn't belong on my thread, I can tell you that much. Post it on your own thread as a review I suppose.
