How long do you get between battery changes?

Hi people.

Having my first mod, I am being extra careful not to damage the batteries.

I notice after around 35-40 5 second pulls it reduces a noticeable amount.

It lasts for around an hour or so, if you use it regularly do they really only last this long? I understand it is from 4.2 to around 3.6-3.7V, but I expected a bit longer than this.

I do have two more nemesis's in a really girly colour coming, as the missus wanted one. I checked fasttech, they have already shipped, we accidentally got 2.

I feel OK rocking a light blue/green and silver mech, but my current one is brass, which is more conductive than stainless, so I was thinking will the working time be even LESS with the stainless steel ones?

I will be ensuring it is all safe for cheyenne as she is not yet at a level to do this, and she will only use it occasionally and keep it at mine, she will take the regulated sig 50 home with her, as she will probably blow up if she took the nemesis home lol.

But, how long do you get in general, and do you know how many pulls you get from it?

Would be a big help, thanks everyone, Conan.

I have used that man, but it tells me I will get LONGER on a mech than a regulated, so find it a bit confusing, as I know they last shorter.

Honestly try it for yourself, select a mech mod, enter your build and so forth, check it, then change it to APV and choose 30 watts (I am running a 06-7 coil for about 30 watts, dropping to 25 as the battery runs down).

You battery is very dependent on type and coil build. It is about what you are looking for. I use Imren 38W. After about hour and half to wo hours of heavy vaping they drop off noticeably. My builds are low though - typically .15 - .2 ohm. I also use dual box mech mods the most. Now if I vaped less continuously and changed my build to .5+ I know I could get at least four hours.

One thing I've noticed. People to not take into account how old their batteries are. With the way I use batteries they need to be changed every six months. Even though they recharge they drop off much more dramatically when they get older. I have tested batteries that are a year old ( and have been charged 500+ times) and they are almost always performing well below standard.

I use a 0.6 ohm single coil, and all my batteries are under 5 months old, I try to use the newest in the mech. That is with heavy vaping?

I am going to use the mech untill vapour drop off, see how long that is. I have done this before, and my batteries still charge faster than normal so I guess it is not dropping the voltage too low. Multimeter is my next purchase, I really need one.

The only mechs I use are Reos, and with a 0.5 ohm coil I get about 3mls out of a single battery charge. I pull them around 3.6v when the vapor noticeably drops off, but if I'm not paying attention I know that 3mls is about the limit.

3.6v is as low as you should take batteries in mech mod if you wish to keep your batteries in good health...Also consider that even in a regulated the lower the voltage is ,the more amps its trying to draw to maintain the wattage...the lower the voltage the harder the battery is having to work..For safety concerns as well its not good to go below 3.6v in mech mod.

I get about a half a day from my eleaf with dual 25R's...unless at work im vaping it throughout the entire day...maybe 6 to 7 hits every 10 minutes or so on .5ohm coil at 3.7v or roughly 29 watts.

Also consider when my battery meter reads about 1/4 life left, im replacing them with a fresh set.

By battery meter do you mean multimeter? At the moment I have no way to check voltage, there might be one in the garage. I am currently using the Lemo V2 on the nemesis brass clone (I will not use the subtank due to it being able to short so easy on the RBA, the wire nearly touches the outer casing!

It is a 0.56 build, I put the battery in at 5 to 9. It is now coming up to 20 to ten, I think I may be a chain vaper, on my Xcube 2 I am getting at least 300 Puffs a day on the counter, and I also use other devices throughout the day.

As long as its not harmful, I'm not bothered of smelling of a nice scent, my mum commented how nice it smelt. If I get on the bus i will smell of chocolate or something, not an ashtray lol.

I just enjoy it so much.

I have upped Cheyennes nicotine to 4MG btw, as she had a couple of cigarettes today and felt that 3MG might not be holding her, we wasnt sure wether to try 5 as that made her feel nic sic last time, so went for 4 MG from 3MG.

I was referring to the meter on my device...Next time it gets to that point i will take a voltage reading with my multi meter and see where the voltage is at.

It depends on what tank or rda your girlfriend is using ,concerning the amount of nicotine she is getting..Even at the same MG of nicotine, one tank or rda can give more different amounts per hit..3mg in a nautilus would be barely noticeable as where in a rda it can be more than enough.

She is using a subtank now, she enjoys it more the direct to lung hits, so a bit more powerful than the nautilus. Hopefully we can find 4MG to be enough, as 5 MG made her feel iffy, but she has to use the 3MG a lot, so 4MG might be just right (I hope)

Also, When I am not using the mech I unscrew it so it can not fire, even with the lock in place I don't feel completely safe. The battery was fine, putting out full vapour, I put it back together and its dead. All points are making contact 100%, I even backed off the fire button really far so like 3/4's pressed was making contact.

I really have no Idea, I only put it in a ten to 9 (LG HG2) and its 20 past ten. I got about 50-60 3-4 second pulls.

EDIT: I was wrong. TOP 510 connector wasn't working. The battery is still working.

Re Adjust the 510 pin on the top..they can back out sometimes...Loosen it and install the tank then retighten it to the atty..Hopefully that's all it is.

I run .25 on my LG's and change em out once I start noticing a decent drop off in performance. I vape a decent amount, but not heavily, so I'll get 2-3 hours per battery.

Hmm... Keep hearing about only discharging cells in a mech down to 3.7V yet people are happy to discharge them to 3.2V in a regulated device..... Just makes zero sense. A regulated devices board is a load, just as an atty is to a mechs battery. Sure, you know when a regulated mods cell is at 3.2V, because it will tell you, and k owing when a cell on a mech is at a certain level can be an art, learned over time. That being said, there's absolutely no reason to throw a cell on the charger at 3.7V if it's still vaping fine. There's zero extra danger just because you're discharging it in a mech.

I build at around 0.16-0.2 ohms on my mechs, and nine times out of ten the cells are at between 3.4 and 3.5V. When I first started building that low, I had a couple that were 3.1V at rest.

If you're happy with your regulated mods discharging to 3.2V you're fine to take your mech cells that low if they still work for you. Be careful not to go too low though, and if in doubt chance it out. On a 0.16 I'm probably still getting 65W at the atty after battery sag at 3.7V. That's plenty for me to get a decent Vape. Even with 22AWG wire there isn't that much metal in a 0.16-0.2ohm build.
