Just curious how others are vaping, what set ups, and how often?
I vape constantly, I'm talking every 5 minutes I'm taking 1-2 big fat rips.
Is that considered OK?
I do it all day everyday, I run a uwell crown .25 dual ss coil at 40-45watts, and like I said I puff it every 4-5 minutes, every day, and all day\night while I'm awake. I can't seem to escape the flavor chase..it's not so much clouds anymore, lol
Anybody else vape like this?
I recently quit smoking, and an starting to feel better about myself each day that passes, but,I'm starting to worry if I'm replacing cig smoke with too much vaping. I mean I can afford it, but when is too much. Any input would be appreciated.
Should I cut back ? Or am I ok as long as I'm doing it right. I consider myself fairly experienced and not a noob.
Anyway, my daily set up is something like this
Sigelei 90w plus at 40-45w with uwell crown tank .25ohm ss dual coil
Or same mod, just starre freemax pro tank. Occasionally a ni200 coil but mainly .25ohm kanthal 20-100w coil at 40-46w

I am a tootle puffer - I rarely vape at less than 1.5 ohms, however, I chain vape all day long also. I have never counted how many puffs hour, or five minute period, lol, but my guess there are times when it is probably two puffs a minute or more.

With that said, I was a 2.5 PAD smoker for 37 years.

I dual vaped/smoked for over 2.5 years. In my case, I believe the constant vaping is doing me ZERO harm.

Since I quit tobacco 100% in favor of vaping almost three months ago, the liver spots on my hands have completely disappeared, the smokers hack is gone, and my arthritis pain in the morning is down by at least half, sometimes I'm 100 percent pain free and am now off the maintenance meds for arthritis pain. Some other minor physical complaints have also abated or disappeared.

So, if chain vaping is bad I have yet to see it.

I've smoked cigarettes since I was like 14, in and,off because i,went to juvey so much, and also as an adult I spent a lot of time in jail for petty thefts. But, I have been smoking a good 10 years in all. I quit several months ago and just vaped. Then I started back up again about 4 months ago. I now quit again, about a week, ago I stopped. Havent, looked back.
But I did notice I started vaping awhole lot more in place of my smoking.
My only concern is, will I eventually have to,give vaping up.?
I sure want to. Because i,do,not want to be dependant on inhaling nicotine. Is there any known method to stopping it, all completely?
Like first stop smoking cigs, then cut back on vaping by down grading to a vape pen , then eventually stopping?
I understand vaping is much better than smoking, but i,also, want to stop vaping eventually too. At least not wanting,to vape the way I do for the rest of,my life. It doesn't seem smart.

I doubt you have anything to worry about. I vape pretty much non-stop when at home and awake. I do have to go hours at a time without when at work, but vape on all my breaks. I guess I vape close to 30ml a day when I'm off.

Anyone else like 5 second puffs on the uwell crown coils the dual ss 0.25ohm ones?
I noticed i,can do,that with any other, kanthal coil on the market, unless it's nickel. But SS in power,MODE with the crown, I don't get burnt hits or dry hits even after 5+ seconds of Puffing in this thing
Absolutely amazing.

Plenty of people seem to wean themselves off nicotine by vaping. The most I've seen just gradually lower the nic in the juice till they get to zero. Then they work on a plan to stop vaping the 0 nic juice.

I'm not a lung hitting cloud chaser, but I'm not quite a tootle puffer either (SS coil, 450°F @ 30w), and pretty much always MTL. I usually vape 4-6ml's of 6mg liquid a day. Vicious throat hit is what works for me. To each their own.

TRUTH : There is no way to actually prescribe how much is too much. Its all on YOU. Your body will tell you what is enough or not enough.

I know its not PC to use the term " use your logic" but even though I prefer PC over MACs , Im going to say it. Use your logic.

If you feel woozy, light headed, shaky, anxious, paranoid, break out in sweats, feel like running into walls, your throat hurts, your lungs feel heavy, your tongue looses ability to taste, if you cant see your monitor/ TV clearly, or the whole room / house is covered in a fog like a scene from ALIENs, you might be vaping too much.

Vaping causes cancer. Headline news and Google's FLOODED with it.

Vaping really isn’t as harmful for your cells as smoking

dn28723-1_800.jpg

By Andy Coghlan

“E-cigarettes can cause cancer”; “Vaping ‘no better’ than smoking”: headlines last week challenged the idea that electronic cigarettesare safer than conventional cigarettes, after findings emerged that their vapour damaged and killed human cells.

Jessica Wang-Rodriguez, a head and neck cancer specialist at the University of California at San Diego, and her team found that cells lining human organs sustained up to twice the DNA damage seen in unexposed cells. They were also five to 10 times more likely to wither and die than unexposed cells even if the vapour contained no nicotine, the addictive ingredient in conventional and most electronic cigarettes.

“Without the nicotine, the damage is slightly less, but still statistically significant compared with control cells,” says Wang-Rodriguez, who led the research.

Interesting.
Everybody knew, there was some sort of risk, but it's always been,a compare it,to cigarettes type of thing, maybe we should consider cutting down on vaping, not necessarily take it away or ban it, but moderate our usage.
I may just downgrade my 100w box,mod and 50w tank usage to a smaller sized pen mod, I have successfully quit smoking. Now, just need to cut back on vaping because I vape ALOT. All day everyday I super sub ohm.

I'm actually doing it as we speak, I can't help it..I love to vape..its a habit i unfortunately need to cut back on, I'm not saying it's killing,me but I'm sure it's not, making me anymore healthy than I already am. Other than getting,my off cigarettes, that's about,it. A big deal yes, but not big enough to,encourage something that could potentially be bad for,me in high doses

Moderation. Reading, this totally put it in my head that i,need to,consider possi or side effects on my health from vaping too.. I keep taking this information about vaping being so,much better for you and vaping up a storm with it because I feel All the info I hear is positive, but that's not nessiairley the truth. Sure, it's better than cigarettes, but that doesn't mean I should vape even, more. I should consider quitting both, or down sizing my mod so, I'm not sucking down huge massive clouds 24/7

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- For those who enjoy smoking, the new trend among many is using e-cigarette’s.

E-cigarettes are electronic devices that are thought to be less harmful to smokers than regular cigarettes.

Although studies show only 15% of American’s regularly smoke, the emergence of e-cigarettes and “vaping” has taken the smoking industry by storm.

Wade Morris, who owns The Glass Shop in Fayetteville, says the e-cigarettes can be addicting. However, he said they are less harmful than cigarettes.

“I think there is definitely good health benefits to [vaping],” Morris said. “Nicotine is addictive. Yes. But, the vegetable glycerin is not. A lot of them are just a vegetable glycerin. Instead of all of these tars and carcinogens, those are all derived. They are extracted from the tobacco. You are going to leave a lot of the tars and carcinogens behind. So, it is going to be pretty beneficial, health wise.”

However, recent studies showed the juices may not be as healthy as many once believed.

According to the New England Journal of Medicine, studies showed e-cig users are five-to-15 times more likely to get formaldehyde-related cancer, compared to regular cigarette smokers.

Studies showed the formaldehyde levels can ultimately cause a cancer, commonly referred to as “popcorn lung.”

It is an issue which the American Vaping Association said is not accurately proven.

“This is not the first study to show that improper machine testing of vapor products can produce high levels of formaldehyde…these are not settings that vapors actually use purposefully,” the association said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Morris said many, including the older generations, are still resorting to e-cigs.

Morris said the lower nicotine levels are beneficial for those looking to quit smoking.

“A lot of the older population is coming in, because they had smoked for 40 or 50 years. They are trying to find a way out, and it is a good way to stop,” Morris said.

I haven't had, nor my Dr. seen any detrimental side effects in my vaping voyage. I use maybe use 10ml a day on a .9Ω coil.

Might want to stop breathing, drinking water, eating and punching your pud.. they all cause cancer.
All those articles are fear mongering bullshit and panic posting that without doing your own research is just hyping the propaganda. Pushing their count for clicks
I bet you dollars to dingleberries they tested under stupid non real conditions OR long term smokers who already after long use tobacco have cancer underway.
This sums it up. “A lot of the older population is coming in, because they had smoked for 40 or 50 years. They are trying to find a way out, and it is a good way to stop,”

Studies showed the formaldehyde levels can ultimately cause a cancer, commonly referred to as “popcorn lung. this statement is so much bullshit, even pastures have a serious issue so much bullshit.

True. And ratracer you are smart.
I'm not saying stop. I'm staying, people need to see this, they need to hear about potential issues in the vaping industry to,understand.
While it may be true, vaping is better for you, it may also be true it can be bad in ways. People need to take the good and the bad together, not just the good because it,out weighs the bad..all things need to,me taken, into consideration when it comes to your life and Health.

All this has done for me, is make me want to be safer with my vaping habit. From now on, I will ONLY vape what i,KNOW to be natrual and I will also research what I'm vaping. POINT BLANK PERIOD.

If the info is total fucking lies, bullshit and fear mongering then people CANNOT make an informed choice or research.

But the people touting those natural products are kind of banking on it, since they are the ones pushing the horseshit, lies and fear mongering.

I developed Basilar atelectasis this past month. I went to the ER this past Monday and had a CT scan performed. I have no idea yet on the caustic agent or if a cause can be found except an allergen. The only thing I do know is that I have to cut down on vaping or stop. It sucks but the lung pain is horrible. I have lowered my vape intake by 90% and I'm able to cough. The pain has lessened. I know vaping might not be in my future. I'm gonna need some Nrt recipes for candy and gum.

Too much? Is there such a thing? lol.

I generally go through an average of 30ml a day of 2-3mg nic on RDAs built under 0.2 ohms @ 75-90 watts.

I'd go along with that. If it makes you feel bad, you need to change something... either frequency or nic level or PG/VG ratio or maybe flavor. If it doesn't make you feel bad... why worry? It's not dangerous like cigarettes, and how many of us worried about how much of that was too much? And even if we worried about it... did we actually change anything? The only changes I ever made with smoking were to switch to ultra-lights when lights were making me cough up a lung with every drag, and switch to 120s so I could smoke each one twice when they got so fucking expensive. And oh yeah, had to start taking it outdoors when my kid was missing 20+ school days a year from bronchial issues.

It's vaping. Relax and enjoy it. If you aren't enjoying it, either change it or quit it, but STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT!

My personal recommendation is moderation. That said, I don't care if anyone drowns themselves with vg, it's your choice.

I stick with +ohm vaping and keep nic at 8-12mg. I vape for nic. Less than 8 and I just vape more. Flavor is nice to have with my nic hit but if I want more flavor than that I'll chew some fucking gum or something.

The bottom line, the more mls inhaled = increased risk. It's a simple concept.
