When I started building..... as much as 2 to 3 builds a day. Now 2 years in.. maybe once a week.

I do still change wicks almost everyday if not more often.

It depends on the juice I'm using. If it gunks up my coils I'll replace them every two weeks or so. That being said, when I get a new atty I always throw a build in it as soon as I get it, so maybe once a week?

Using 24 AWG Kanthal, my coils last near 90 days.

With one dry burn every day and new wick of course.

Just cleaned today, around 2 years old. Past year being in rotation with a few other RDAs
Still need to realign the one before rewicking. Not much change since the last picture.

I used to build for myself every day, but now, I maybe change out coils every few months, but usually just to try something new. I supply my local shop with Framed Staple Coils (28g K Frames, 8x .4x.1 K Cores, 36g K Wraps) that seem to be quite popular so I try to knock out a few sets of those every few days.

I have a few types of pre rolled Clapton from lightning vape and advanced vape supply and I will wrap up coils once in a while.
I like to vape big wide intricate claptons so I differ to Raymo for My builds. I'm am an above average coil installer. I even got dual coils in my doode RDA cleanly.

I don't like vaping rust so I tend to throw away anything that gets red or orange spots.

I made the switch over to SS316L over a year ago, and the need to change builds dropped. I have one tank with the same build for 11 months...I put it in on my Vape Anniversary in March of 2016. I'll pull the wick when the flavor mutes, fire up the coils and rinse them, then fire again and use a small SS brush to clean the soot...then fire one more time and final rinse. It's still as good as it was the day I put it in. I won't pull it and rebuild til it finally dies off. The tank is the Aromamizer Supreme.

I have a second Supreme that I'll screw around with when the feeling hits me, and it's had a number of different builds run through the deck.

I just picked up the Aromamizer Plus, and am now searching for the right build to match my needs. Once I hit that level of happiness, I'll likely rarely mess with it, only cleaning when needed.

I'm the same way with my RDAs...only rebuilding when the coils are roached or I'm trying a new build.

There are some real artists out there that will build, heat, take photos, then pull the build and do another one...it's a hobby for them that I respect. There's no way these old eyes can focus on anything that small, so I just stick with basic single strand, double coil, simple wrap builds. I build for personal vaping satisfaction...those folks do it as an artform.
