How to change wattage in TC NEBOX.

Hi people.

Today I got a IPV D3 and a NEBOX, both seem great.

However, even after reading the instructions, I am having trouble changing watts in TC mode.

I can get the menu up to select M1, M2 etc, but their is only 60W and 7W options.

I would like to know how to change it, currently I have to go into power mode, select wattage, and then go back to TC and my wattage is there from temp mode.

Also-Locking resistance. I can't seem to find this and its reading my 0.15 NI200 coil as 0.29. It is cool now, and I need to lock it in correctly, but I can't seem to find how in the instructions.

I have tried removing the bottom with coil, firing to get a check atty message, then re attaching, but its not giving me the option of new + old -.

Help would be much appreciated, as I really like the style of this mod, and airflow is perfect for me, and the 10ML juice capacity seals the deal.

The D3 is great too-I will review them both after a few days use.

OK I have managed it by removing the coil, and firing then reinstalliing. It is cool and still reading at 0.23 though, its meant to be 0.15, so I guess this one is quite off.

It does not matter as I will be using the RBA later, but wanted to use it as fast as possible.

So-is there another way to lock resistance, or is this it, and is there another way to change watt's in TC, or am I doing it how you are meant to?

All help is genuinely appreciated, and I thank you all.

OK I have got it reading at 0.21 now, still not 0.15 though. Looking online this is quite common, it needs to be a very clean contact so I cleaned them-but people are saying with the RBA it is dead on, so I will try that.

But if you could help me with changing wattage in TC and locking resistance on the fly, that would be great.

Thanks, Conan.

I won't have a Nebox in front of me until tonight. But just from memory...

The up/down buttons will work for either temp or watts. You have to push the up/down buttons together to toggle between them. You might even have to be in M1 or M2 mode to do that.

Couldn't quite understand where you're at with it. Apologies if I told you what you already know.

Sorry man,Sometimes I am not very clear.

In TC mode, you can change the temp with the up and down buttons, and the wattage is above this. If you hold up and down for two seconds, it brings up a menu of memory modes-but I can not seem to change wattage however I try.

Also-I don't know if there is a way to lock resistance after the original lock is in place, as mine is off slightly (But this is mentioned in a lot of places I have read-it seems these rounded OCC coils are slightly higher resistance than they state, plus the contacts need to be very clean, I got it down from 0.29 to 0.21 at room temp).

So, I just want to know how to change wattage, not temp, in TC mode. :). At the moment I have to set wattage in power mode-then go into TC mode and it is at my set wattage from power mode.

Also, if there is a way to lock resistance after the first new coil yes/no message like on other devices.

Thanks everyone, Conan.

I figured it out.

You double tap - and + quickly, and you can change wattage in TC mode.

I still want to know how to manually lock resistance though.

Learning the Nebox/TC is on an as-need basis for me. Tackling titanium coils soon. I'll look into some more Nebox controls tonight.

Off topic: The original Conan on blu-ray is amazing.

I've figured it out myself anyway, double tap both up and down buttons quickly, and you can adjust watts in TC mode. Hit fire 3 times to choose NI200, TI, or Watt mode.

No locking apart from when you first insert the base.

First impressions-using it all day, happy with it, found the way I hold it I can control airflow with my finger fairly easily.

Will test the IPV D3 Tomorrow-I have given the D2 to my fiancee to use for now till she gets a TC mod at christmas-but that depends on tomorrow me helping her with a TC build. If she doesn't like it, shes free to use any of my mods anyway, but I will just have it back and she can use the christmas present in Watt mode. The present is simpler though-no watt control, just choose your temp and wire type, and away it goes. I have tested it to make sure it works for her, it does and does a pretty good job at it.

After a few days with the D3 and the NEBOX I will write a review for each. The NEBOX seems to have a little less battery life than my EVIC VTC mini, seriously I don't know how it runs so long on a single battery! I take that one out instead of a dual battery mod and always come home with battery left.

So, I do really like the NEBOX, 10ML capacity and the airflow is just how I like my drippers/tanks, so that is pretty cool.

I was running it with the NI200 coil in TC mode for half the day, then I switched to the subtank RBA (included) at 0.5 and its great.

Going to dig my subtank mini's out and give them a fresh coil and wick, using the same gauge and wrap amount that the device comes with it. I was using the Subtank at 0.7 around 16-18W but feel there is improvement with the 0.5 coils it comes with, so will set them up with a similar build.

Plus I love the subtank, doesn't go through juice like my newer tanks and still has great flavour and cloud production.
