How to sanitize/clean a painted mod

So, I bought a used HexOhm v3 zombie edition which has red splatter over what I can guess is a powder-coat.

From my experience, both of those are tough to clean. I was thinking of rubbing alcohol due to it's disinfectant, but it seems like it may be too abrasive.

It isn't dirty, it's just my paranoid ways given today's world. Any suggestions?

Can't exactly speak to powder coat, but I've cleaned a Dotmod with a gentle Dawn solution, vinegar, too. @jwill is a pro with powder coat, so I hope he's able to give you a firm answer. At least you'd be able to spot test the green on the inside. I hope you find something that works out well for you.

Yeah the powder coat isn’t what I’m worried about. Whatever Craving Vapor used for the splatter (looks and feels like a powdercoat or oil based pain) is what I’m not sure about.

Dawn is an incredible cleaner that isn’t harmful or abrasive. I don’t think any contagion is on it anymore but ya never know. I never liked buying used vape products before this pandemic.

You should not take any chances. I have developed a method of cleaning-decontaminating which is completely harmless to all finishes. You need to send that mod to me immediately so we can begin this process. It should not take longer than a year or so. Message me immediately for shipping information. Thank you for your doing your part keeping everyone safe.
