Thanks. Im debating buying a Luc. I had a defective V4 i purchased and ended up returning it for a refund and i got an i4. Id like to be able to charge at 1 amp, so, we shall see. A two bay Luc dedicated to paired batteries would be nice.

I use the 2 bay Luc for charging my paired 26650's at 1 amp. The 4 bay is nice as well, but I don't need to charge batteries often enough for that.

Yeah, i have an i4, but it takes about an hour per tenth of a volt when charging pairs in sleds 1 & 3. Its a good no frills charger, I just kinda want something faster.

Im a bit put off, though, since the V4 i received had a screen that would flash a bit every four times the battery arrow pulsed. It would stop if i unplugged it, but after a couple batteries, started doing it again. This was consistent. The vendor tried to tell me it was fine, and that i should be inserting the batteries before plugging it in. Bullshit, he gave me a refund, though.

It is a nice charger and the price is right. I just am a bit wary with Efest in general, though most people seem to love their chargers.

Mine was new, but had no shrink wrap sealing the box... Do they come that way? Im just wondering if it had been opened and used already. Intermittent flashes on the screen probably weren't a big deal, but I'm not gonna fuck around with chargers. I dont think a screen should flash on a charging device, and do so continuously, and always after a few battery changes.

Im gonna think it over, i wish you had Xtar's. Do you experience any screen flashing with yours?

The LUC 4 can charge up to 2amps, but I wouldn't suggest that on 18650's as I'm not aware that anything is meant to be charged that rapidly. I did use my 26650's at 2amps and it was nice to have a full charge in around an hour and a half on a set. They do not come shrink wrapped, so that is normal. I used a Nitecore i4 forever, it was slow, but always did the trick. Strangely enough, about two weeks after I first stocked LUC's - my nitecore died.

Right on. I had an i2 which had a sled die, so I got the Luc that had the screen issues. I decided at that point since I use my multimeter and don't need a fancy display, that I'd just go the i4 and familiar route. It just takes too long to charge.

I wouldn't charge at 2 amps, I know the higher current you charge at lowers the lifespan of your batteries. 1 amp in separate channels sounds mighty nice, I bet I could almost halve my charging time. Thanks for the reply, I'm still thinking on it. There's too much shit I want right now, and the charger, though functional is far from the most exciting. Doesn't mean it's not the right thing to purchase next, though. Especially with that price.
