Haha. I've always said I want my tombstone to say "I told you I was sick".
My mom's three sons have figured out what goes on her tombstone.
"I don't have time for this shit."
It was a phrase she kept chanting in the ambulance en route to the hospital, in the hospital. In that case, she had a bad panic attack. I was not risking it being a heart attack, she even told me that it was my call.
My two younger brothers saw her in the hospital room. I had to go to work, could not call off. The eldest told mom, "we figured out what goes on your stone."
The youngest chimed in, repeating her phrase back to her. She spoke of it and told her I agreed. It was then decided. My mom's got balls of brass the size to shame any S.E.A. L, Ranger operator. She has twice now beaten colon cancer.
Learned my right cross from her. I accidentally called her the b word & got a two-hour nap for the trouble. Never again do I even think of mom and that word together.
