[IMG alt="In 1956, Warner Bros released To Hare Is Human, a classic short where Bugs Bunny crosses paths with Wile E Coyote. It is one of the rare times Bugs appears in a Coyote story, and the whole cartoon plays on the idea of intelligence, trickery, and who is really in control.

The setup is simple. Wile E Coyote builds an elaborate computer meant to help him capture Bugs. He treats the machine like a genius assistant while he follows its printed instructions step by step. Bugs discovers the setup, sneaks inside the computer, and takes over the role of the mastermind. From that moment on, every scheme the coyote tries is secretly being guided by Bugs, who feeds him advice designed to fail in the funniest possible ways.

Across the cartoon you see the contrast between Wile E Coyote’s confidence and the chaos that always follows. Each printed order he reads sends him into another trap of his own making. Bugs plays along with calm amusement and a little mischief, turning the coyote’s trust in technology into one big running joke.
