I can't decide between 3mg or 6mg

So I'm ordering a new kit tomorrow which consists of the new black/resin Drag mod by VooPoo and a Wotofo SMM Serpent RTA. That's the easy part, the hard part is deciding between getting 3mg or 6mg. This will be my first RTA experience. In my sub-ohm tank I vape 6mg and am satisfied I've tried 3mg in the tank and I just can't get my fix. I played around with RDA's for about two months and found myself overdosing occasionally when dripping 6mg plus some juices were a bit harsh at 6mg. I never really did play with 3mg with the RDA's so I don't know if that is the answer or not. Am I correct in my thinking that RTA's are basically RDA's in the fact that the nic hit will be more concentrated? I'm leaning towards getting some 3mg and seeing how that goes. It's important that I'm satisfied nic wise but maybe 6mg in a RTA is too much? Someone suggested getting both 3 & 6 and mixing them..That's hella expensive at $60 per bottle for my favorite juice. Hoping to get it right the first time. Any help is appreciated.

For myself, I find vaping with an RTA to be very close to vaping with a regular sub ohm tank. 6 mg is perfect for me on both RTA or sub ohm tanks. 3 mg is a bit too light.

That's my experience.

I use 6mg in my Serpent SMM, TFV8 Cloud Beast, and TFV8 Big Baby with the only difference being the cloud output. I love the Serpent different times of the day just for the lung feeling, the nic fix is the same. If you mix 6mg and 3mg you really in the end have a slightly lower 6 so there is no point...if 6 is your norm stick to the norm

That's the way to go.
DIY has funded getting dozens of mods for me, lol.

$60 & $60 = $120 that's what I'd pay for two 120ml of my favorite juice..it only comes in big bottles. That's just not in the budget. Im probably going to go ahead and get one at 6mg as I know I'll get my fix that way. Going to dive into DIY in October premade stuff isn't saving much money at all lol

Not only that, but if you're vaping high wattage, diy is probably the best idea to make it affordable.
Since I started diy, I'll have days of vaping through 20ml of juice. Not to mention the spillage from dripping and driving.

I mostly get 4.5 from my local stores, but when ordering online, I mostly buy a 0 or a 3, then get some nicotine and add it myself. Its cheaper then having to buy 2 or 3 of the manufacturers juices/flavor shots etc. Another con, if you ever plan on doing diy, you will have already nicotine on hand lol. Maybe worth a try?

Turns out I'm good with 6mg in this new RTA I got..I'm loving it. I bought a new mod as well. so DIY will have to wait.

Matty,
Congrats on the new setup! I only use RTA's now and mix my juice between 6mg and 7ish mg (depending on how heavy handed I am when mixing). Never gives me a problem with getting too much nic from my RTA, unless I run dual coils and vape like it's a single coil. With single coils I can fog out the town from chain vaping, but dual coil setups delivers so much more nic that you have to watch your vape style to avoid taking to much to quickly.
With an RTA, you may want to up your water intake too. I can always tell when I am dehydrating cause a toe will cramp:(
Good luck with your new setup.
