I Found A Vape In A Couch At Goodwill - Can I use it?

Okay so I've never been on this form before, or vaped before, however, I might be interested in starting. So here's the deal. I was at goodwill and bought a couch for $40. When I got it home, I discovered that there was a vape in between the cushions. Would it be safe to use? How should I go about cleaning it?

For cleaning, I'm a big fan of everclear or some other brand of pure grain alcohol, myself (it's not just for punch bowls ;)) Cleaning procedure, etc., will depend on the rig (e.g. you don't want to short out any internal battery or electronics). Like already mentioned, pics would be huge help.

Why would you want to, just because you found it? LOL

Do you smoke cigarettes? Vaping is a great alternative to smoking, but not worth taking up because you found something in a couch.

Definitely show us a photo. At the very least if it is a good one you could sell it.

Congrats on the new used couch.

Take a pic and show us so we can help you with it!

Sorry for the late delay, had to go to work. Here are some photos of the vape I found.

I don't smoke cigarettes, and plan not to, however the idea of vaping kind of intrigued me. I just never wanted to go out and spend money on one

1. Who knows what kind of liquid is in that clearo, or how old it is. It could have so much nicotine it makes you sick, and it could be "old socks" flavor for all we know...

2. You'd still need to go out and buy a charger for the battery, if nothing else.

3. You can get equipment similar to that in style, but better in quality, for $15 or so these days.

If you're really curious, I'd just go out and buy an Evod-style kit and some 0 nic liquid. Throw that topper away, and if you like vaping you've got some fresh, suitable liquid and a proper topper, plus you've scored a free spare battery...as long as you like lime green.

Agreed, toss that clearo and if you decide to try vaping then 0mg.No needed to get addicted to nicotine like many of us were and still are.

Agreed, toss the topper. They're cheap anyway. Plus, like mentioned, no telling how high a level the nicotine is, or what else might be in it. There was even a time you could buy eliquid laced with cialis . Can pick up a replacement tank for anywhere from $3 to $6 (depending on where) or something better like @OBDave mentioned for not a whole lot of $. A full Kanger Evod kit, with charger, two batteries, two tanks, spare coils, and a bottle of eliquid can be readily found for $30.

Or, if you're really curious, just go in a vape shop. Most of them (except in areas that ban indoor vaping) have a vape bar where you can sample their flavors at no charge. For sanitary purposes, they have opaque rubber covers (vape condoms) that go over the mouthpiece which are tossed after you try the flavor.

The juice does look old, but overall it's pretty damn clean. I hope it speaks well for the condition of the couch.

Take off the topper and push the button and see if it lights up. Try hitting it 5 times in a row in case it is locked. If you see no lights at all, it is probably too dead to be useful. If it blinks back at you you got a shot at it working. It's old simple technology and most people buy the Ego spinners now in that product range.

Get a genuine Ego charger for it if you decide to try it. They are only about $7.

I suggest you throw it in the trash and find a different new hobby that doesn't involve ingesting/inhaling things.

You guys have been super helpful. Someone offered to pay me $25 for the vape, and I'm going to use that money to buy a new one. Also, no less than three people sampled the contents of the vape. I don't know why.

YUCK.. people actually stuck that ce5 of unknown origin with an unknown liquid in it in their face hole and tried that??

So much for common sense.

Nope, nope and nope.
I wouldn't use that if it were cleaned with 151 and gas.
Who knows who was using that and what kinds of diseases they could have had.

With my history of losing things or forgetting where I put my vape stuff, that may well be my old couch LOL....JK of course.

We gave a friend of ours a box of art supplies that nobody was using anymore. She called us and mentioned she found a couple of bottles of e-juice in there! Oh, the dumb places I have stuck bottles to steep and than forgotten about!
