I have a question

Hello Everyone!

I joined because I need some help.
I usually rely on my husband for vaping technical stuff, but he'll be gone the next week or so.
I've been using an iStick PICO since July and I love it!
Unfortunately, it stopped working today.
The display is acting goofy and the vaporizing part of it isn't working.
So, for now, I'm back to using a Joytech stick or pen or whatever it's called for the meantime.
But I really would like to figure out what's wrong with my PICO and if possible fix what has happened to my PICO.

Can anyone help?

The display is acting goofy

Can you elaborate on the "acting goofy" part?

I do not own the Pico but do have several other Eleaf mods that I really like.

And welcome to VU

Your welcome, Sounds like the board is shot, the Pico's are pretty reasonable to replace. under $40 at most vendors

Hello JuicyLucy!

It's stuck on stealth mod on, locked.
The display says 75.0 w. I think it usually says somewhere between 45 and 50.
It says 0.40 followed by the Greek Omega letter.
And 5.47 V.
I have two batteries that I exchange out of the PICO and both of them read as fully charged.

What's weird is that the atomizer thingy isn't doing anything at all.
It's not getting hot. There's no vapor at all from it. There's no sound either.

I really don't want to go a week without m PICO so if I have to, I'll buy another one but I'd like to try to know what went wrong with this one because it's only been a few months and I wouldn't want the same thing to happen again if I get a new PICO.

Nice to meet you too! :D:D

It's the brain that runs your wattage and voltage , Not sure on the replacement of the board, maybe some one who knows more about that part of your question can help, Wish you luck:wave:

Have you tried unlocking it?

Apparently you unlock it by pressing the + and - buttons on the bottom at the same time.

Do you still have the manual for it?

While the board could be shot, it could also just have been accidentally reset by buttons getting pushed in the wrong combination. This can happen in a pocket, purse or a lot of other ways.

HV, try hooking up the mini usb connection and download the firmware updates after you try unlocking the device like Lucy suggested. eleaf.com. Watch a few youtube videos on the Pico to become more familiar with your device. Good luck, and welcome to VU.

Yeah, unlocking it will likely solve your problem, then turn your wattage back down to what you usually use, so you don't burn up the wick in your tank. I wasn't sure that I liked the mod at all, but I've grown quite fond of it lately.

If unlocking it does not work, sadly I tend to thing the board (the thing with lots of little bitty electronic parts that most of us cannot understand or even attempt to fix) is fried..

So to put it into Dr. McCoy from Star Trek terms............

"it's Dead Jim"

And you need to purchase a replacement:cuss2::(

I finally got in touch with the vendor who sold me the product.
The brain is definitely fried.
I'm going to get a new PICO tomorrow at a reduced cost.
I like the hot pink one. So I'm getting that one again.

Thank you Whiskey, JuicyLucy, ChrisL, Huckleberried and UncleRJ.

Hi Everyone!!

Just want to give you all an update.
The iStick Pico can be rebooted if you press the +/- key on the bottom thirty times in quick succession.
I didn't figure this out. My vendor's son did it. So, I didn't need to buy a new one. I just bought juice instead.

I just thought you might like to know.

for the stealth mode control... Holding the fire and "-" buttons at same time will turn on and off.
wattage is adjusted with the + and - buttons.. if in TC mode you have to click the fire button 4x to access wattage.
The mod should only lock in TC modes by pressing a holding fire and +. omega will turn to a padlock.
