Sub-ohm kits are great for big clouds and intense flavour, using low-resistance coils. MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) kits mimic the feel of smoking and are ideal for beginners or those who prefer a tighter draw. If you want clouds and rich flavour, go sub-ohm; for a smoother, cigarette-like hit, choose MTL. Please correct me. Am I right?

I keep hearing about sub-ohm and MTL vape kits. What’s the difference, and which is better?

Mostly yes.
It really comes down to the coil and what the mod can reasonably handle.
See just cause a device can hit 100-200 watts does not mean you can't run a higher ohm coil on it.
So you could slap a Nautilus Mini tank on a mod the size of a semi-truck so long as you obey ohms law.
However you couldn't do the reverse and slap say a TFV8 Baby tank on a 20w daily beater. Even if said mod could handle that low of an ohm load.
It just wouldn't have enough power to fire it and fail to do so. It (the mod) might just stop working after trying to do so.
So do not ever try that okay!
Not even going into RDTL vaping or Loose MTL vaping which are both rabbit holes deeper than deep.
Nor am I going to even going to try to pursue a discussion on (Bi-Coastal Vaping)
What I am willing to say is I normally have 3 *setups* per day.
1 for when I'm first waking up which is always a MTL.
1 for after I've had a fair bit of coffee and start needing a bigger hit. This is the setup I use most of the day!!
1 for after I've had dinner a beer or 2 and maybe a shot of bourbon! This is my BAMF setup. Fully open and as warm as I can handle without burning my tongue or more importantly the coil!
*Setup* = Usually a mod & a tank combo although not always made by the same company. Sometimes it is a kit like todays (BAMF) which is going to be my SMOK RPM 5 Pro. Well right after I finish the beer I've been nursing and have myself a shot of bourbon.
Anyhow that's just how things have worked out for me...YMMV!
