I need help

I havnt been building long. I have a tobh atty rda and a tobeco orchid v2 and ive been using 30 g kanthal and it works just fine. But i ran out and decided to get some 26 g kanthal with the help from a local vape shop but no matter what coil i build, no matter what ohm i can get anything to fire up. Ive been using a itaste mvp on 11 watts (thats the highest) and the fire button immediatly lights up and just stays green. It usually slowly lights up as the coil heats up. I have no idea what to do or what the problem even is. If someone could give me advice or help it would be greatly appreciated.

More information will help here. Keep in mind that an MVP 2.0 can only fire coils ABOVE 1 ohm resistance. This means that with 26 gauge, you would need MORE than 10 wraps around a 2mm diameter to get above the minimum resistance. The wire you've chosen is not very suitable for the MVP 2's limitations. 30-32 gauge is a better way to go I think.

Here is a calculator that will help you with your coils.

Thank you. I just took advice from the guy at the shop i figured he could help

Not a problem. You might get results from 26 gauge, but they may be underwhelming at best (takes more time to heat up when you have that many wraps/that much wire). Just be safe!

I'll move this to the rebuildable area so folks can chime in with advice for you:)

Sadly, just because someone works at a vape shop does not mean that they know what they are talking about. I normally build my Kayfuns at 1.1 ohm using 27 gauge Kanthal but I drive them at 18+ watts.

An MVP barely pushes 28g. It will never get 26g hot enough. Ever. Go back to 30 or 32 gauge. If you want to see what your tobh is capable of you need way more power. MVP's are for clearomizers. You need a more powerful mod.

I have a mech mod. The infinite stingray x. That came with the atty but the button bit the dust and im just waiting to start work and get paid to buy a new one
