I know PV's history and I respect them for what they did for vaping, but man... ...really? I get why people get all nostalgic for them, but it seems even those people aren't so into these new additions.
I don't get it. Is this a religious trinket?
I like that they call it one of the most luxurious and
powerful 18650 tube mods ever made. They've gotta be fucking with us. What they've done is put a brand new Honda Civic engine in a Rolls-Royce. No vtec, even!
I don't understand how anyone can justify this. It's not even a good mod for what it is. It truly is nothing special. Hell, it's barely relevant. Who is this mod for?
If you want to make a 50w mod, so be it. Plenty of MTL'ers I'm sure would love a well-crafted, intuitive, and feature-rich 50w mod. I just don't understand the rationale behind making a bare-bones, dated, likely average-quality 50w mod and pricing it well above many of the most sophisticated, advanced, well-made mods on the market. It's an insult, really.
What they hell are they thinking over there? I would really, really like to know. Are they that out of touch with the market and consumer base? Or are they just stuck with their religious fanbase... ...as in, they can't compete with modern devices so they try to keep their dedicated market all to themselves. I don't think that will go well for them. You can only rest on your laurels for so long before you actually have to do something that begets the reputation you have earned. People are gonna continue wising up to the fact that they are not making devices that can truly compete.
I dunno, maybe these are backwards mods made for backwards people by backwards people. Maybe they all got into them back in PV's glory days and have literally never used anything else since then.
Just doing some looking around, Provari fans these days do not make a very good case for the company... ...I'm impressed at their mental back-flip skills. Even they gotta know they're fulla shit. How can you not? Just seems to me that it would be easier to admit to yourself that your loyalty coerced you into to buying absurdly-overpriced junk, buy any of the cheaper, better options, and move on with your life. Why go through the trouble of convincing yourself of something that nobody with a brain would believe just to validate a terrible purchase decision?
There's just so much about this that I'm not comprehending right now. I'm starting to think the folks over at Provape are trolling everyone and even the fanboys are in on it. Makes about as much sense as anything else.
P.S.
@f1r3b1rd I read your discussion in a certain comment section and I applaud your effort, but I question your sanity.
