(This should be fun.)

SO... hypothetically speaking....

IF I were to come into some unexpected load of serious cash and wanted to spend a bunch of it on a high end mech what should I get? What would you get if price was not an option?

If you have a suggestion for this shopping spree please link to a site and a share a price.

Thanks.

wow. i like those. I came across some unique Otto (something or other) mods. Very expensive due to workmanship.
I noticed the BOSS mod by Cartel too. Hmmm.

The very limited and expensive Solid Silver Caravela! about $2800 area. Would say the Solid Gold Caravela but he never made one yet as that would be $30,000 + range

Yup - agree here.. that VA box mod is my dream mod.. but 500$ is just ridiculous.. i dont care how nice it is
500? LOL it's 947.22 US Dollar! and never available I think it's the most expensive mod in the World :)
The Sunbox E10 is also really nice DNA 30 bottom feeder and it's only 289.94 US Dollar if you can ever find one in stock :(

Well, IDK about PV's, but the man sure does a lot of fine work: http://www.ottocarter.com/

Holy Crap! I wish you hadn't put that link up cause now I'm wanting my Glock 34 engraved. I'm sure it's a case of "if you have to ask for pricing, probably can't afford it" Very nice looking stuff IMO!

Good point Bean Joe but i decided not to split hairs in this thread.
It is interesting hwoever to see what folks say when price isn't an issue.
Do they go for rare stuff, high watt stuff, cosmetics, etc, etc.

Btw... i really like that drip tip in your pic. I have been looking around for a pyrex tip and cant pull the trigger yet.

They are extremely sexy, but unfortunately they have a major issue. The pyrex tends to fall out. I think the glue used can't stand up to the heat. A much less sexy option that doesn't have this issue is the Aria pyrex drip tip, but it is soooo much less sexy :(

Mechs are dead bra. They are analogous to muscle cars from the 60's. There is some sentimental value and old dudes with discretionary cash will throw it away on them. However, keep in mind that they are only good for Sunday drives...

Just want to say, all the mods you see above will still be working LONG after your regulated mods take a shit. I like regulated mods, do not get me wrong, but lately I have been going back to my mechs. Why you ask?? Well, my sigeili 150watt is nice, but the ohm meter is flakey, so I will be vaping at 30 watts on a 0.7 ohm build and all the sudden it will think it has a 2.2ohm build on it and jack my voltage up to compensate, burning the crap out of my juice and wick. I have 2 istick 50w devices which I DID love at one time, both now have issues with the fire button sticking which burns the crap outta my juice. I have a Custom Made Copper 22mm tube mod with a DNA30 in it which works great (made it at my company) but it is a little tall and likes to fall out of my front shirt pocket so I do not use it much except at home. Anyway, if you know battery safety, and have a good ohm meter to check your builds with, mechs are the most reliable option. This is why mechs are not dead!! Unless these mod companies start coming out with more reliable regulated mods, mechs will always be a good option for ROCK SOLID performance. Forgot to mention, I do have 1 regulated mod that I use on a daily basis, it is the SMY GOD180 mod. Only one that has given me NO problems thus far. And I have had it since February.

Happy Vaping!

You can get an inline volt meter. i got one at 101vape.com but they do not seem to carry them anymore.

Can't do it with multimeter?

Only if you can get the multimeter in the middle of the tank and the mod while firing the mod, which is highly unlikely. Voltage drop differs from battery to battery and is usually caused by mod connections, not the tank itself. Although, the lower the ohms, the more voltage sag you will get no matter what mod or tank you are using. Some batteries sag less than others (Like my Sony VTC4 batteries sag a little less than my Samsung 25r batteries) when put under a load. Also, if I am running a 0.7ohm build on my copper nemesis mod, I only get 0.1 to 0.2 voltage drop, but if I put a 0.2ohm build on it, I will get a 0.4 to 0.5 volt drop. More amp load on the battery will cause more voltage drop. Hope that helps.
