^ What would it be? Would love to hear all suggestions, but if you happen to know of one that falls into all or most of the following criteria I would especially like to hear them.

I'm getting my financial aid for college this week and am going to get one nice well made and quality device that will last me 6mo-year.

Must be VW, have my first Mech on the way, but I want this to be my adv.

I prefer small devices, the MVP 3.0 Pro that Im vaping now is about as big as I would want to venture, but I much prefer the ergonomics of my CoolFire 4.

I like USB charging if at all possible.

I dont use TC, but not opposed to it as a feature especially considering I could "grow into it"

I like simple.

The lower it fires the better, though I like .8-.5 at the moment, I would like to have room to move down if I start building more and more.

Max of 2 18650, but would prefer only 1, or even an onboard battery.

A manufacturer that is on the up and up and stands behind their product, no clones.

Superior build quality.

Let me know of y'alls favorite. So far interested in the rDNA 40 VaporShark, and have heard the SX is nice but I dont know much about them. Maybe even the VaporShark DNA200

If you're looking for a dependable workhorse I would stay far far away from a dna40 mod.
I have 4 vaporshark rdna40s and yes I like them, obviously, having vaporshark in Florida makes it great for service, but, lets just say the mods spent as much Time on a mailtruck back and forth as they did being used.
If you want long term usage you do not want an onboard battery, the convenience of onboard is quickly dismissed with the onboard putting an expiration date on MOST mods. When the battery stops taking a charge in 6months to a year; and, you're in the middle of finals weak then what?

...you said high end, not sure where you're putting that line, some call high end the 350+ bracket others say its 200-300$
Also you said you wanna firer down to a 05 and a dna40 then mentioned the sx wich is a 75w mod.

my personal opinion is the sx mini m is hands down the best and most versatile mod on the market right now. I have two, you may not be into temp control but you have it available as an option, Yihi is good about keeping updates available for the board, its built beautifully, you really do have a full spectrum of power, and four firing modes let you hit a dripper hard or vape just l Ike you would off a DNA. The dna200 is a kick ass board , I just can't recommend it as something for a person who will be relying on it as an adv. I hope they prove me wrong but on my mind, its just to early to tell how they'll hold up in the community.

So lets say 300 before tax or less, I like the SX but the screen feels really crowded.

I read a lot on the VaporShark and a lot of people seemed to have issues, so much so that returns and upgrades and maintenance are actually things you can purchase on their home page wtf.

I like the aesthetics of the E-Square (but its a DNA40) and BilletBox but I'm not going back to cartos lol.

Everyone seems to be touting the Sig 150 and SnowWolf 200 but they seem bulky, I prefer pocket friendly, as I vape all day every chance I get.

Does the VaporFlask suffer from the same issues? I can see that fitting in a pocket nicely with a miniature quality RDA.

I guess I can see where the sxm screen can seem crowded but you gotta figure mist of that is either features or useful info. sig has a great track record , especially for a workhorse, pocket friendly I dunno. Hell, I don't know that an sxm would qualify as that for some. its certainly more friendly than a sig150.
Its the board with the issues not the mod, but vaporflask is about to put out an sx350j flask that goes to 100w, it'll be the same screen as the sxmini though. And, do you think 40w will be enough for a year? in other words, after I went to 40w it wasn't long before I was looking for more power

What are you looking to power and where do you see your power needs in 6 months?

Very true, Ive recently been going up to 50w on my MVP Pro with a .5 ohm kangertech subtank nano. About to pick up the Mini so I can use the rebuildable deck unless I get the Goblin mini since I've heard good things. I feel like I'll still be at 60w or under in 6mo so the MVP is still going to be relevant but its just not as pocket friendly as I would like but the battery life (4500mAh) is outrageous. I really like the looks of the Sig 75w TC but I've seen two reviews that have called it anemic, but I feel like a 3500 mAh 25-30A 18650 with a backup in my backpack will last me all day.

Though I dont consider the Sig to be very high end, they are nice enough to be a quality vape with good reputation which is really the most important thing.

Keep in mind that is not a yihi board, that's an osmudud board in it. sig are great, but they built that reputation using yihi modders boards. I just saw something on you tube with a reviewer raving about the new vapor shark finish,
Also if your thinking DNA200; protovapor has one out for 180$

I think thats the way I'm going to go as well. I really hope the DNA200 is going to be a hit and not a miss. I wonder If I should get the SX350j and then just switch out the chip with a DNA board if it becomes poular, though I really prefer the DNA screen... decisions, decisions lol.

You pre-ordered for the DNA correct?

I do really like the VaporFlask, but if its coming out with an upgraded chipset I would like to wait for that.

Also, not sure about the sqounkers/ bottom feed thing. I might be more comfortable with a regular RDA like the Freakshow Mini that I have.

No, I preordered a vapor shark dna200 and a cloudmaker SX
I'm a huge fan of the sx350j, it is THE BEST board I've used on any mod in the 2 years that I've been vaping, and I sent that board with the extra battery life
I just have a fairly decent size inventory lf over 30 mods to choose from but my every day carry no matter what else I have with me is an sx mini m class.
I do like the form factor of the vs though so I figured if the board is a hit i'll keep it and get the cloudmaker DNA later.

With the 200 vs fixed their finish problem so if I can have that power and a board to fiddlefuck with why not

Does having the screen on the bottom of the vapor shark ever bother you?

I would tend to lay it on its side for that reason, not something I would like to do with a dripper on it if it still has juice in the juice well.

No. Not at all. I kind of like it, especially vaping at night there's no glow in the face. one thing that bugs me about the flask is if you sorting a leak the screen is right there. I know, its sealed but it would still bug me.

Just for the sake of knowing, is the rDNA 40 better by a long shot than the DNA?

The Rdna40 and the dna40 are the same board so they function identically. the only real difference is size, the DNA is smaller and imho more comfortable to use, the rdna has wireless charging, and the battery is swappable during the day the DNA has the 18650 hardwired in. But at 30-40w you get a decent vape time off one battery. Both have a 2a chargeboard so it charges suoerquick. when I would leave work and go meet the chick I would just plug it in the car and be topped off when I got where I was going, and its pass through so no biggie there.

Both have the same drawbacks, the finish, a ramp up time that bugged me and 40w . The sharkskin solves the finish issue, or at least slows it down. The 40w is underpowered for most lf my vaping.

That said I still use the DNA40s for quick out and about or stealth vaping. When I am using certain attys that do excel under 40w-kf4 with 4s kit, aqua v2 or erlkoenigin
But like you said earlier your normally at 50w or more and I would hate to see anyone get s great mod only to wish they got something with more bang.

Hmm.. I was thinking of getting the VS rDNA40 and if the DNA200 pans out and the CloudMaker Mod itself doesnt get good reviews Ill know if I like the VS line of devices and just pick up their 200. So many choices. I guess it would really be an out and about/ at school Mod seeing as I can use my MVP at home for 40+ watts and then replace both with the 200 if its the flash in the pan everyone has hyped it up to be.

Have they ironed out the DNA40 chip with the latest firmwares? What problems were you having with yours? You say ramp up time, is that the delay from when you press the button or the time it takes the chip to actually reach the 40 watts? Most of my drags are between 3-10seconds.

Yeah, I haven't used the MVP pro to be able to compare, but with the 40,when you hit the button theres a slight stall then it'll 'build' to 40w on the sxm you have boost options, you can set it to do the same on the yihi soft mode, or standard is where you gut the button and get your setting immediately or powerful where you get 5% over your setting for 1 second then your setting or powerful plus is 5% more for 2 seconds that is to heat your coil faster.
Its really awesome for dripping or where I like it is in my billow 2 with a 24g coil when its cold I get an immediate hit then down to where I like, that one option makes the entire board so worth while. Especially with a lower resistance build using alot of metal you're not firing higher to get a hit them roasting your cotton, or waiting form your coil to heat up and taking three pulls before you get a good hit.

The best part of those firing modes is no more adjusting one or two watts just flip the button ....the 350 also has memory locations so you can store preset wattages.

ive spent alot of money on "quality"
i can tell you from experiance that yihi is just as good...
take it for what its worth. high end will usually get you the same quality of vape thats whats being considered "low end'

Sx mini M class is a home run. Cloudmaker white out sx 350J will be a good choice for dual 18650 ver.

I personally went with the sigelei 150 tc work a tfv4 tank. This is my second sigelei so far and the only reason I'm on my second is because I sold my original 150 top a friend after picking up the tc version. I like the quality of the mod personally, then again my range of experience with other brands is fairly limited. I have noticed that using the tfv4 at 130w on the triple coil doesn't seem to be too bad on battery life as each hit is short and intense. The tank seriously pulls like an rda once you get settled into those higher wattages. Only downside I've seen so far is I go through a lot of juice with it but that's too be expected with a good subohm tank.
