I'm done buying hardware

I've finally reached my limit: I'm done buying vape hardware.

I have two SMPL's, a Stingray X, a Sigelei 100W V2, about ten drippers, a couple Kayfuns, an Orchid, an a spare eGo setup with a clearo and fresh head in case everything else blows up. I really have no need for anything else. I've thought about temp control, but I don't see it as necessary to my vape. I'll continue with the consumable supplies for my coils, wicks, batts, and DIY juice, but that's it (or if my Sig dies). My shiny-itis has passed and I couldn't feel better about it.

Anyone else get to this point?

It's totally unlike me, too. Just glad that it happened naturally and not due to some unfortunate events!

That's fair, but I recently got a new job and I thought about celebrating by buying myself a new mod. Decided money would be better spent elsewhere and unless I got something with TC, it wouldn't be worth it.

I need to get to that point. I have more than I need. BUT THEN I see a deal I can't pass up. I need to stop but can't seem to.

All I have to do to keep from buying the latest and greatest is to look at the many items I've acquired over the years and no longer use regularly if at all.

I don't regret buying any of it however because every bit of it helped me to quit and stay off cigarettes so in that respect, it was worth every penny and then some. :)

But nowadays I'm content to wait the new stuff out a couple of months and see if it is still as hot an item as it was initially. In most cases it isn't. :)

I think when i get a sigelei 50 watt, 100 watt and 150w ill be done mod wise...Already have the 30w mini.

Loving my subtank nano but want more capacity so looking at the subtank mini plus to complete my tank needs.

Ok, well maybe just to say i have one, a mech mod and a couple of good atty's...Im still liking the Dovpo GX200 and maybe a Nemesis clone like i used to have at one time but traded.

Id be lying if i didnt mention a charger upgrade is wanted..My i2 is working great but i really want the fancy D2 version for entertainment factor...More batteries would be in the works as well

DIY on the other hand will never end as long as i vape.

Well , i guess im not done yet.

I don't see any large purchases right away but I'm liking little trinkets. Just ordered some more HCigar Atomizer Cooling Fins to protect my threads. $15 here $20 there.

I'm still seeing tons of stuff I want, but can't afford right now. (The hubby lost two paydays in a month from being in the hospital) but when we catch up, I'm getting at least a couple of pretties....:D
I want the white subox mini so bad I can taste it, that's next on the list. And laugh if you will, but I've wanted a Vamo since I saw one of my customers with one last year, dunno why....lol!

Mine started with me, first on the 510 kits we tried in the late 2000s/early 2010s and gave up on, then the eGo knockoffs I picked up at the place I used to grab cartons a couple years ago...she supports vaping 100%, but goes apeshit if I buy something and don't buy her one too, then claims my new shiny item as hers if there's only one to be had and it looks really cool. So I've learned to buy everything in pairs - for anything you can buy, I can pay double. But hey, happy wife, happy life and all that jazz... :D

If I can just get a solid mid-sized out/about device in the 80-watt range (damn you, bad M80 reviews!) I'll be set until my Sig box breaks down:
2 x Caravela mech
2 x Nemesis mech
2 x Paragon mech
2 x Penny mech
2 x Stingray X mech
2 x Fuhattan mech
2 x K-100 mech
4 x Plume Veil
2 x Mutation X v2
2 x Mutation X v3
2 x Yep RDA
2 x Turbo RDA
4 x Igo-M (2 each v1 and v2)
2 x about 10 other RDAs
2 x Subtank Mini
2 x Arctic
2 x Sig 100
2 x iStick
2 x Kbox
20+ x Evods, Protanks, Aros, other assorted last-gen clearos
6 x old carto tanks
100+ x various replaceable coil heads/cartos for above devices
20+ x various sizes/styles eGo knockoff batteries

That's just off the top of my head...I'm scared to actually dig through all my boxes and see what I actually own.

I didn't even get into independent batteries, chargers, wicks, wires, coiling tools, ohm meters, volt meters, tiny blue screwdrivers, allen wrench sets, multimeters...

Stopped buying new stuff a while ago. I have 3 go to mods and 4 rebuildable tanks that I rotate. I have a Cloupor T5 which is my workhorse with a Big Buddha on top. I have a Hana mod 30 Watt box that I like (except that I have to wake it up before I hit it which I HATE) and I have a Kanger Simar 20 Watt gravity mod that I like. I use a Squape clone that is tasty and 2 orchid V4s that mostly leak and disappoint me lol.
This is not to mention my older stuff before I started to build.... Aspire Nautilus, Atlantis, Iclear 30. Then when building became necessary for me I have probably 6 drippers which are still useful when testing new builds or recipes. I have a sentimental "attachment" to my first mods. An Evo adjustable wattage pen and an MVP Itaste that I almost never use but will dust off every now and then for nostalgia lol.
Am I done? I think the intitial "Oh I have gotta have that" phase is over, thank God. Still I would like another Big Buddha, that is my favorite atty. I also just can't stop desiring something with more power, perhaps the Sigelei 150 but I am now biding my time. Haven't even come close to smoking a stinky since last July. Success!

I went to the local shop today for a 5 pack of coils and that's it. Is it suppose to cost me $150 for that? Oh wait, must be all the other stuff I" had" to have:eek: they get me every time. Good thing I'm not into cars!

My problem is not b&ms, my problem is the internet. I don't visit our local shops because I don't buy vendor juice and I know what the markup is on the hardware. But once I get to looking around online - even in the hardware and accessories sections HERE - I'm weak! So many shinies and so many bargains and I have my debit card number memorized....

Sorry man I just gotta throw the bullshit flag on this. Once an addict always an addict. Don't matter how good of control you have or how long you hold out. One day you will convince yourself that you just need to replace some item cuz it warn and getting dangerous or whatever else your brain cam come up with. LOL

Call whatever you'd like, sir. I. created the thread to see if there were any others who felt the same way that I do about buying mods. Clearly, I'm in the minority. Besides, I'm totally addicted to vaping and admittedly so. Never said I was a mod addict.

"I've finally reached my limit: I'm done buying vape hardware."

Ah...here we go....the "I'm done buying vape stuff" lie that one makes to oneself...BTDT....70 or so mods, dozens of atties and other gear later and I'm not gonna lie....there's more on the way..lol..this ranks right up there with the biggest of all lies..."the checks in the mail", "I've never been with anyone like you", "It won’t hurt. I promise!" and "Santa is watching you"....lol

@Spike64 70 OR SO MODS !!! Holy shit you made my day. I now feel much better about my self control or lack of it depending on how you look at it. Ok I decided I'm not going to catch up to Spike64. I'm pretty sure I can do this. LOL

Yes, I'm quite sure my mailman suspects me of manufacturing some sort of illegal smelly substances.....:D
Yip same issue here and I also support a reef salt water tank so there is always crazy shit arriving at my door. I'm sure I'm under suspicion by now

Well, on the bright side I've only been buying regulated box mods lately and kicked the tube mod habit, so there is that...;)

I hear what your saying...at some point you get tired of chasing the unicorn, you find a vape you like and have no real reason to continue the search, and the things that intrigue you come up less and less...for instance I have no interest in the whole box mod craze...I know how to build the kind of vapes I like and I see no upside other than a consistient voltage to go out and buy a dna 40 box mod.....There's a couple of attys that I'd like to own maybe 3, but I'm in no rush and they are all old school gennys that Ill probablly buy used.....I'm lucky I can appreciate a beautiful mod, but I really don't need to own them....attys are diffrent story...I spend all my money on attys.
I think the more experinced you get the more you've fine tuned your vape, and there is no real motivation to drop another 100...200...300...400...600..dollars.
