im new...and want to DIY e-juice.

hello to you.

so, just as mentioned, im new to this forum and a little lost to all of the acronyms being used but i think ill get the hang of it. anyways, the reason why ive decided to make a new thread is because i know that making my own juice is cheaper, shops already have the well flavored juice ready to go, but i have no idea as to what flavors or even which vendors to choose, or how much of a difference each vendor will differ from one another for one flavor (for example: tobacco from Capella vs tobacco from Super Concentrates). Would it be safe to assume that there are subtle differences between each extract and that the most suitable extract would be entirely based on "personal preference" through trial and error? If so, I'd like to know what works/worked best for you!

Im hoping someone here would be able to share their experiences and knowledge as to guide me to a inexpensive yet still "shop" quality vape that juices have been produced at for their retail value.

Also, since i've already mentioned it. Is this discussion forum, when referring to vendors, using acronyms for flavors consistently? Like as from the first paragraph, Capella = cap and Super Concentrates = SC? Then the flavor profile?

Re-entering the vaping scene since I relapsed to cigarettes during the transition of silica to cotton, Im having trouble finding my "go-to" choice of vape. Before my relapse, I would continuously buy Kustom's Are Why For, but my local shop no longer supplies that brand. Maybe someone here can share with me their recipe for this sweet, more deeper noted, tobacco flavor. Or at least suggestions for what extracts to use. ive been told that there are more than many variations to this flavor profile, and that RY4 is its original referenced term. am i on the right path?

thanks ahead guys for all the help ill be receiving and hope to not come across any ill intended, condescending comments. as momma always told me, "if ya aint got nothin nice to say, dont say nothin at all boy."

I don't see any clone recipe on the Web, but Double RY4 and Original Caramel DX, both from Perfumer Apprentice, should be a good start (maybe not the same, but not too far).

You are already heading into the right direction, by posting in the right sub forum. Browse the other DIY sub forums, with tons of information. If you have any questions, just ask.
Most of us are mainly using FA :) (Flavour Art) flavors, due to their high concentration and true to nature flavor. In addition, all FA flavors for eJuice is free of Acetyl Propionyl, or Diacetyl. Read up on FA flavors here http://mamajsflavorshop.com/headinclouds-my-notes-on-flavor-descriptions/.
The recipes you have looked at already, usually tell you the brand, the flavor, and what percentage was utilized. It doesn't matter, if you make 20 ml of a recipe, or 200 ml of a recipe, as long as you adhere to the percentages. In order to get the proper volume/weight of flavor, we utilize a eJuice calculator. Personally, I like using http://e-liquid-recipes.com.

While I'm no where near an expert when it to comes to D.I.Y. I still love to mix up flavors simply by adding 1 e-liquid to another. With that said I prefer my RY4 to be more tobacco and less sweet.

What you will need.
30ml bottle of Gaia from Heather's Heavenly.
15ml bottle of Trinity from Seduce Juice.
15ml bottle of Swag by Nick's Blissful Brews you can pick up a bottle from Giant Vapes.
A clean empty 60ml bottle available at many places.

Just pour everything into the 60ml bottle give it a good shake and let sit for about an hour give another good shake and let it rest for another hour it should be ready to go at that point.
Enjoy!!
