I just wanted to know if someone had any tips for using 20g kanthal it was bought for me by accident a whole 100ft spool so i decided to use it i had a dual 5 wrap setup that was a super hot vape ...not what i wanted i just want clouds lol then i tried a 3 wrap it was a lil cooler but still a hot vape is heat something im gonna have with 20 g do i need more wraps ... more resistance less heat .... or less wraps will have a smaller amount of metal to get hot ????????????? someone please advice

What do the coils you've already built come out to on your multimeter/ohm checker?

Ok. With that super low gauge wire I would recommend building single coils instead of duels. I would do Like 6-7 wraps and make sure when you are building your coils that you give yourself room and you're not super close to the well or rda top cap. If you are too close that metal will heat up as well as the coils and cause a really hot vape. Try single coil and see what you think.

I'm hesitant to give advice here until I determine whether OP is even measuring the resistance of his builds...need more info on what he's wrapping 3-5 times.

That said, 20g is a little thick for most tastes - might be difficult to build something that won't fry wicks and take forever to ramp up...
