I have been back and fourth from cigarettes to vaping for a bit. When I was vaping a bit ago, I bucked up for the Kryptonite Big Block 454 and paid around $80 for it when it came out early last year or so. Since I had my son I have moved back to vaping I have bought a Mutation V4 and a couple others. They are all ok and I know there is some others that people rave about but I dusted my Big Block off and found that I still love that thing! I use it for my work setup along with my Infinite 4Nine clone and together, it's bomb proof. I can't help but notice that while most authentic RDA's are affordable- they are built for people that do office work (no offense).
Been asking around the local shops and they just chuckle at me and tell me it's a retro RDA and will be hard to find. Did some searching online and found that they are still manufactured and also have a V2 out and found a shop in Cali that has both V1's and V2's! Bought me one of each and a comp cap for the V1. Right up my alley!!! If you want a burl RDA, BUY THIS RDA! Machining is TOP NOTCH, easy to build, good flavor, good clouds and now they have colors and they use Cerakote (used on weapons)!
Got me a V1 in Grey, V1 Comp Cap in grey, and black V2. They don't have all the extra junk that come with the new stuff but this thing is a BEAST and can't believe they are so untalked about. To top it off it is around $50 now compared to the $80 price it used to be!
Found it here, they verified it is authentic and a shipping notification came immediately!

Saw your post this morning- you are not alone my friend. I am sitting here chucking at 30 watts with a 26 gauge dual coil 8 wrap for each coil, .56 ohm setup on the Kryptonite 454 and loving it. I use a Kangertech subtank for work now, but at home I am still dripping the 454. No leaks and great taste. A year and a bit is now retro, wow. Still a bit of a pain to build, but IMHO worth it!

I got another V1 and my first V2 a couple weeks ago. They are not as tight as they used to be. My old V1 was tight as hell and was hard to adjust airflow but I like it cause it does not slip easily. Building coils are easy for me but wicking is tougher than others as I find I need to use something small to push wick and grab it with tweezers. Overall it is my favorite out of all my other rdas. Well shall see how my incoming velocity adds up

I have two old V1; both are tight and like new. How is the V2 in comparison? I agree the wicking can be tricky, but placing those negative leads under the ring with the exact same angle and length is also not easy for these old eyes. The Coil Master has made winding good coils easy. I mix my own juces and use the 454s regularly to test the flavors. Funny, I too have a velocity clone on order from Fastech and am interested to see how it stacks up. Been vaping exclusively for over four years; never thought I would kick the analogs, but find vaping way more fun.Oh, try a little less cotton- that may help with the wicking.

It's decent. I like it because it is a lot shorter than the V1 and makes the overall length really nice on my little mods for being out and about. What I don't like is you cant pull the top cap off to drip because the cap, inner barrel and drip tip is all one piece. I find that it's OK to drip through the drip tip if you are careful not to overfill as it is hard to see into the tip. It is also not as tight fitting as the V1 so it is a bit messier than the V1. The flavor is still there so I give it a B-.
