Innokin V3.0 Help????

First and foremost I would like to say hello to everyone being this is my first time to vapingunderground I recently purchased from mad vapes a innokin v3.0 I followed the directions to allow it to charge for 10-15 minutes which I waited 30 to play it safe, but when I go to change the wattage it only allows me to make the change up to 5.0 and that is all I'm clearly following the directions where you must first hold the "-" and power button for 2 seconds but to no avail it would still only allow me to change the wattage up to 5. Currently I have the wattage set at 5 and running the volts at 4.2 with a 2.1 ohm head. I also checked the serial number on innokins website and it comes back as being authentic, so if someone could guide me or help out I would greatly appreciate it. I also forgot to mention I'm running one of the iclear 16b tanks.

Thanks in advance, Rem152

Not sure if that one has a coil reader on it or not , but that is what it sounds like its doing, it will not go above what your coils can take.

I don't have a V 3.0 but is it possible that you have it in voltage mode and not wattage mode? They adjust from 3-5 volts in .1 increments and in wattage mode they go up to like 11 watts I think in .5 increments. So if you're adjusting you setting and it's going up in .1 increments then you're in voltage mode. The reason why I think this is because if you push 4.2 volts threw a 2.1 ohm coil that is actually more like 8.4 watts of power and not five.

The 4.2 volts might just be the thing telling you the battery is fully charged....try adjusting your settings and if they go up and down in .1 amounts then you've got it in voltage and not wattage mode....6 watts is the lowest setting on the device in wattage mode. If you're in wattage mode and it's going below six watts than you have a defective one and need to return or exchange it before it's past your exchange date

Hi Rem152, just to clarify, is it the iTaste V3 you have
iTaste_V3.0_Title_w.jpg

or the MVP 3.0?

I'm assuming it is the former as it only goes to 5V, in which case make sure it is in 'P' mode for wattage (Hold the “+” button first and then holding “power” button for three seconds to enter variable wattage mode).

The MVP 3.0 allows you to go all the way upto 9V (just tried it with an  Aspire ET-S 2.0ohm coil o_O fired at 30W) Unlike devices such as the iStick which limit how high you can dial it up based on your coil, the MVP allows you to go all the way
If you do have the MVP, holding down the '+' button, press the power (firing) button for 5 seconds to switch to wattage mode (ignore the manual, it says 1 second:confused:).
