How will these batteries compare with dual 18650's? I ordered a DNA 200 mod that has these internal batteries and was just curious.

Pretty much what the MAH is you will not get the same runtime as a dual battery 18650 but beyond this you need to think in Watt hours do some research I would suggest

Watt hours (abbreviated Wh) are what's important here, assuming the battery can handle the current (which if it's being supplied with the mod I would hope it can handle the current). You can compare watt hours to compare running time at the same watts level directly.

To get watt hours multiply Ah by voltage. 3s means 3 batteries in series so that's 3.7V multiplied by 3 which is 11.1V. And 4800 mAh, which is 4.8 Ah (1000 mAh in an Ah). Multiply 11.1 by 4.8 and you get ~53 Wh.

Compare that to a typical dual samsung 25R. A 25R is 2500mAh so 2.5 Ah. And there are two of them so the voltage is 3.7V times 2 which is 7.4V. So 18.5 Wh.

So theoretically this battery should last 2.5-3 times as long as two 25R's, assuming the ratings are legit...

That does seem kind of crazy, 3S 4800mAh lipos are usually enormous, definitely bigger than any mod I've ever seen just for the battery alone.

Frequently in the ecig world they (wrongly) add the mAh of each cell even though they're in series, so if that were happening then it would actually be a 1600mAh 3S battery, which makes a little more sense to me since that would put it just a little lower than the the 25R in terms of battery life, similar to two VTC4's. And that's possible to put into a somewhat similar size to 2 or 3 18650s

I keep wondering if the OP has found a 1600Mah DNA 200 that would explain the rating of 4800MAH again I am at a loss again I have not seen a 1600Mah 3S lipo

Thanks for the info but really don't know where to start with the research, that's why I asked the question. I am not very

I think that the 4800 is the total of the 3 1600's sorry I just got the info from the advertisement. It's 4800 MAH total.

Yep, like I said that's actually incorrect to add them up like that but like I said quite a few Chinese suppliers do that, and I looked at their page and they do advertise it as 4800mAh. Do they confirm somewhere that it's 3 1600s?

And did my post above make sense? Two 25R's is 18.5 Wh, while 3 1600mAh cells is 17.7 Wh so the battery life should be roughly comparable to two 18650s if maybe a little less.
