So, i am more or less wondering how carefully i have to watch this when its charging, i am aware that you should not let the battery die completely, as it may not take a charge again after that, although i believe it has low battery protection as well as low voltage protection. But would i be able to leave this charging over night? i may be wrong but i have heard that you could potentially over charge your battery like that, and i just want to know how hard i have to pay attention to this.

As long as the charger in the mod works as it should you will not have any problems. It will charge the LiPo pack properly and shut down when it's full.

Having said that, I don't charge any lithium ion battery overnight and LiPo is a version of Li-ion. The problem is that once these batteries are fully charged if the charger fails and doesn't stop charging, the battery will heat up. Once it gets hot enough it will vent. The IMR and hybrid Li-ion batts that are generally suggested for vaping (18650, 18500, etc) should not burn when they vent, but sometimes one does and that can start a fire. Li-po batts are pretty tough, but if they get too abused, like if the charger doesn't stop charging and that goes on for long enough, they can burn quite hot. It happens rarely, but for me it's just not worth the risk of a fire to charge overnight.

Your mod has low battery voltage shutdown, the same thing as low battery protection, so you can run the batts down to the mods battery cutoff voltage safely. All regulated mods are like this. If I catch mine before the batts are fully discharged I recharge early. It's a bit easier on them and that way I also don't test the low voltage shutdown feature all the time :). If I miss it, I don't worry about it. If this system fails and battery voltage goes too low, they will be damaged internally and you'll get into the fire risks again.

These systems are very good these days and I don't know of any LiPo pack in a mod that has had a problem (and there are a lot of these out there), so please don't take all this the wrong way. I charge batts when I'm here and awake because there's a very small chance of a problem and all I have to do to minimize that is be here, awake and keep half an eye on things. Just in case ...

BTW, your charger will draw almost 2 amps when it's working. That means you shouldn't use a computer USB port, or a 1A USB wall adapter (AKA a wall wart). You can buy 2A wall adapters for around $10-$15 from Amazon. More than 2A is just fine, but less is not.

Best of luck with it.

also, just to be sure, i CAN NOT use a normal 1 amp wall charger correct?

I did it once with a 2 amp 'quick' charger built into a Vapor Shark DNA40 (doesn't have a removable battery). The 1A adapter got hot enough after about 20 minutes that I stopped the charge until it cooled down, did another 20 minutes and then finished the charge. I was impatient and didn't want to wait a few more days for my 2.4A adapter to get here.

The 2.4A adapter gets only slightly warm. I never used the 1A for it again. I suspect if I had let it go without watching over it, it would have burned out on the first charge or worse. It's not worth the risk to me.
