Ipv d3 or h priv?

Hi all. I bought an Ipv d3 80w mod about a month ago. It has been pretty good, but there's time when I just want something more beefy. There is a local guy with an h priv for sale....and was proposing a trade for my ipv d3... would this be a good move or not? I don't have much experience with the h priv at all.

If his HPRIV is working properly... I have to wonder because the that's kinda like offering to trade a decent muscle car (Hpriv 220 watt TC on everything) for a go kart (80 watt TC on Ti and Ni)...

Agreed that's a killer deal for you. Ecig.com was dropping those IPV's for like $19. Make sure that H Priv works.

Well..he's selling for $50.. and he's a mod collector...he's got a ton.. do I offered the trade plus $20. I guess my biggest concern is if I'd like the h priv or not. I liked my other smok mod before...but it was 40w

Looks like a fair trade as long as there's nothing wrong with the Hpriv
Only you can decide if you like it or not, it is different then most with it's side bar firing and it is a bit flashy.
You can have a mod too weak, but you can never have a mod too strong, you just just dial it down.

I had a smok osub mini..I really liked the fire bar and their menus..... well see if he'll take the trade or not I guess

It's only a good deal as a trade, you can get a new one for less then 50$

I personally would not do it. I've had a D2 for over a year and its given me no issues whatsoever. Also, I'm not a fan of Smok stuff, especially anything with a firing bar. However, I have quite a few duel 18650's and a heavy bias. If you don't have those things, its a good trade.

He decided against a trade. Did say he'd do an hpriv with married batteries and a twisted messes rda for $80... if I'm gonna do that I'll go get myself an alien kit.....

Had the H-Priv since I started vaping in June ... good box mod except the firing bar recently stopped working!

Took the thing apart and realised it was down to a 20 pence switch sitting underneath (yep you heard me right bought 10 new switches for 2 quid) ... soldered a new one on works like a treat saved myself £50

The other thing I noticed on the H-Priv is the screen gets condensation especially if you get any leaking from the tank and it's impossible to get underneath and clean it away as they have glued the top and side circuit boards together (at least I didn't spot a screw anywhere)

I would call around I just picked up my first real setup just started vaping last month and I picked up a gpriv with big baby beast 2 batteries 2 bottles of 60ml juice for $80 at my local vape shop they were having a Christmas sale!

45w on the beast tank though? :eek: That's criminal lol

Get that sucker up to double that at least! Unless the baby works at much lower wattage? It's old brother doesn't even start to wake up until 70w

The baby does work at lower wattage.
For it's big brother I would say the bare minimum is 60W, but for it 45W is at the low range but fine.

Few of my mates at work recently purchased the

WISMEC Reuleaux RX 200S Mod

Reasonable on Amazon. They have nothing but good things to say about it ... probably gonna be what I go for next as well

I got this white D3 a few weeks ago..No overhang with the 25mm Griffin..Batt surprisingly lasts all day @62w with a 0.3 ohm build in the Griff..better than my D2 was..lol

I am new to vaping so just babying myself ATM at 45w lol using the .15 I think so not sure what the best wattage would be lol

.15 BabyBeast comes alive around 60w +, vaping mine at 75w at the moment..
best wattage is stamped on the coil if you take time to read it..

I did like I said i am new to vaping but I figured that much out lol. I will try it out I just want to conserve battery until my second set of batteries get here

@pizzadave80 the Rx200 is a star mod, upgrade it to 250 watt. The only downside is the bulky size. Mine have samsung 2500 batts in. It can take whatever you throw at it. The Boreas vapes a cloud on the Rx200. For $30????..... just check that its working properly.

I'm a d3 fan myself, but even the LG HG2 drains pretty fast with Baby Beast T8 in the low 60's.

I've been told ipv5 is much like dual battery version of the d3.

Rx200 is ok for price but is bulky, has temperamental 510 pin, and some report less than stellar wiring.

I don't care for those wirh flimsy bottom battery door, like newer ipv mods and sigelei 213. Also, there are many Smok Alien fans, but I think their strength is tank and prebuilt coil, nothing else.

I think I need an ipv5 and I'd be really happy with it. I like my mod...but battery life sucks and I have a couple of tanks that need 100w or so to really do their thing

Great mod. You can find them for under $30 and they're pretty much bullet proof.

That's the last iPV I'd buy. Since that one, IMO, they've over promised and under delivered...
