IPV5 DRY COIL / NO LIQUID?

Your mod will read the resistance still. Should not need to manually input the resistance.

On the Ipv5 everytime you put a new tank no matter what the material is you have to reset the resistance by pressing the +/- button at the same time. Most newer mods do it automatically but the Ipv5 does not.

Interesting. I have never needed to do this with my ipv5. But I always run power mode so I don't "lock in" my resistance. And it reads the new atty's resistance correctly. Wonder if this is just when used in TC?

I have 2 ipv5's and they are both glitchy in their own way. I wonder if another glitch is I don't have to reset resistance on mine? Possible.

When you do this your not locking the resistance. It will still fluctuate as you vape. You're resetting it. If you don't it's going to use the baseline resistance from the old coil in joules mode. You might be using coils that are close in resistance so you probably never noticed. Believe me the way I layed it out is the correct way to use that mod.

If you don't it's going to use the baseline resistance from the old coil no matter what mode you're in. You might be using coils that are close in resistance so you probably never noticed. Believe me the way I layed it out is the correct way to use that mod.

Possible I misunderstood you, but swiched attys just now and showed its resistance without any button pressing. And the voltage difference tells me it did not "save" anything from the previous atty.

In power mode it's not an issue. In joules mode the board needs to establish a baseline resistance to do tc. It does that when you reset the resistance of a room temperature coil.

All mods that have working temp control shouldn't fire on a dry coil
