I'm tending toward black, just cuz it's not quite so... there, and because most of my tanks, RTAs and RDAs are black. A green spatter black Velocity Mini would hardly go on anything other than a black mod, for example.

True. Black looks good with anything.

I just read your post and was going to tell you to make sure to lock in the resistance of the coil while at room temperature. Seems like you already figured it out. :)

Cheers,
Steve

Don't see where it locks per say but I guess setting will lock it

So when you set a resistance and wattage in TC mode: Do they both go into a memory slot, together?
When I change to a different slot the resistance stays the same

Aw, too bad. It was more than I'd expected, but it would've been cool if it'd kept the wattage and resistance together.

Holding the + and - button locks or sets resistance in TC. You only do it once while at room temperature. Only need to do it again if you change coils or attys (only for TC - I held the + and - button down on my IPV3 Li until the set resistance screen vanished)

Cheers,
Steve

glad you got it working! Thanks to all for the input regarding resistance setting, it was a little confusing not showing a lock symbol, and I was unclear whether it was a manual adjustment like the smok products I own.

Glad to see you are getting good results and are enjoying TC. Seems like a lot of mod for the price!

Can't beat it imo. Seems well built, no rattles, battery door is secure, great battery life, etc. I can't find a real con so far.

I did see a youtube video and the reviewer had the black IPV5 and he was wiggling the door down with his thumb. I can move my battery down slightly with my thumb but it is nothing compared to my Sig 150TC. You have to be purposely trying to move the door down with a little force for it to move.

I agree @VaporCarp , The IPV5 is a genuine deal in the $60 range. I was out all day and took my RX200 with me as it had fresh batts, first thing I did when I got home was grab the IPV5. Not that the RX200 is bad in anyway, I am definitely not getting rid of mine, just that the IPV5 has a slight edge in performance which I miss when I am using my other mods.

The only con I have found so far was I was unable to change watts once yesterday, couldn't figure it out. The fix was I just took a long drag since it was still firing at the watts it was set at and after that the up and down buttons responded. I was messing with different watts and clicking around a lot to find the best settings for the TFV4 with the triple coil when it happened, maybe I pressed some combination and put it into up/down lock mode?

Right now the IPV5 is my favorite mod although the Brush Stainless Steel Stout keeps batting its pretty eyelashes at me so I have to pick it up too.

The 5 is a champ. Dropped it in the garage tonight and don't see a mark on it. My Griffin on the other hand ....

Bummer, I had the same thing happen when getting out of my car and my Hotcig DX200 flew out of my coat pocket and slid at least 10 feet down the driveway. Battery and chip section separated, drip tip flew off. In the end other than a few scratches, the mod was fine. However my Bellus's glass tank looked just like yours. I'll take a tanks broken glass over a busted mod any day of the week and twice on Sunday !

Cheers,
Steve

What;s the best Crown tank to use? Thanks in advance.
Crown tank....hmmmm. Would probably take Sir Richards advice and pass but the original Crown is still a decent tank but others have come along to surpass it. I have a Crown II and a Rafale but would not recommend them. The Cleito 120 and the TFV8 are both great subtanks, I side with the TFV8 more as it comes with an rba included in the kit.
