Battery is less than a week old. I just noticed that the positive head is sort of smashed in. May be I had pressed it in too hard trying to get the battery door closed on my R200.

Is it safe to use still ? It seems to be charging fine.

Please advise. Thx.

Without a picture it is impossible to tell anything.Post a picture because I am sure others will want to see.

OK, I am no expert but that is seriously damaged and from that picture you could have damaged the seal.

WHEN IN DOUBT DON'T!

The one on the right looks like a dimple the one on the left looks like a 2mm dent.

Yea, that is a pretty serious dent.
The battery itself may not be compromised because there is a few mm gap between the positive and the rest of the battery.
But, the dent can very easily result in less surface contact between the battery and whatever it is inserted into (be it mod or charger) and this may result in arcing and more heat then normal due to increased resistance of electricity flowing out of the positive of the battery.

I wouldn't use it, and I am pretty liberal when it comes to using batteries that others would have repaired/replaced when much nicer looking. lol
