Is my FA hazelnut bad?

The smell is just so off putting. It really doesn't smell anything like hazelnut, or at least I don't think so. I can smell a hint of hazelnut but mostly a chemical kind of smell is what I really get. I was attempting the Cereal Killa clone tonight and when I finished making it up, all I could really smell was that hazelnut.

I know that its impossible for people to know what I'm smelling but does anyone else's hazelnut smell like this?! I ordered it from ECigexpress just a few weeks ago. It arrived in a sealed FA bottle. I've never had an issue with any flavors from ECigexpress before.

FA Hazelnut is pretty strong stuff. I picked up samples from Pure Vapes, very strong fragrance. In a mix I use it an a fraction of a %, maybe @ 0.25 or 0.5%. Strong. I will usually let things settle a while, typically overnight, not always. It's a good flavor, but can easily take over, too. I'd be willing to bet it's good.

Btw, ECX does re-bottle their FA.

Hmmm, this Cereal Killa clone from Reddit calls for it @ 2%. I'll let it sit for a couple days and see what happens.

And I'm guessing this stuff isn't re-bottled because it does say Made in Italy and it has a lot number on the bottle. I'm guessing they wouldn't put all that on the labels for the re-bottled stuff, but I could be wrong.

Hmm, mine smells good out of the bottle. I started at 1% and went to 3% and thought it was delicious. Maybe mix a tiny bit up stand alone and try it out?

If it doesn't mellow out enough for you, you could always increase the flavorings to double the amount, then cut the whole thing in half with unflavored base. Then you'll have 2 bottles! :D

OMG! I just looked at the recipe again and realized it was FW Hazelnut and not FA. I bet that could be an issue.

I will probably have to take your suggestion Huck and double the recipe, which would then put me down to 1% hazelnut. That might work. Thanks!

Well, I decided to throw some of this on my dripper and as bad as it still smells, it tastes pretty damn good! I never tried the real cereal killer juice so I can't say how close this is to it. Its a pretty good fruit loops taste though. But I think I would like a little more milk in it, have to work on that part now.

I have around 50 bottles of FA from ecig express and they are all re bottled I believe as are the 40 or so I have from e liquid mart.

The original FA bottles are hard for me to read the name of the juice cause they are written in a real weak silver writing or something.

Correct me if I am wrong anyone. :)

I only have 2 that are FA bottles. Black Currant and Pistachio. I agree, they're kinda hard to read.

That saved me from a lot of trial and error. Thank you so much!!
You can always play with those percentages, Talon. I'd start at 1%, work up if need be, but do that at 0.5% increments. Hope it works out for you! :)
