Is my setup dangerous

Ok I'm new at vaping. I bought a sigelei box mod 150 watt (10-150w) battery capacity 7.4v-8.2v\0.10 - 3.0 ohm compatible. I'm using sigelei 18650 30amp high drain rechargeable lithium ion capacity of 2500mah & 3.7volts. My tank is a herakles sub-ohm bvc atomizer with a 0.6ohm 50-100w coil. I vape around 55w to 75w and 5.9voltsish. Have I made a mistake am I doing something wrong have I put myself at risk for injury??? Please need help thank you.

This definitely sounds like a safe set up. In fact I'd be willing to bet some other members on here either vape, or have vaped on a very very similar set up.

You have the proper amp battery plus your regulated mod is protected to a point, Chip runs cool to avoid heat and temperature sensor malfunction, Low voltage protection, Input high voltage warning, and Reverse battery protection.

Error Codes:

“Low Res”: Resistance is below operating range (<0.1 Ω)

“Low Bat”: Low battery input voltage (<6.4V)

“HHHHHHHH”: High battery input voltage (>9.0V)

“Too Hot”: High operating temperature

Honestly for a starter/new set up it is pretty much a no brainier safely vape set up.
I actually wish people would start with the best they can afford and regulated. Just safe all the way around.

Well any electronics piece could fail and result in some nasty burns or something, even regulated mods. Your cellphone could do the same thing.

The danger risks of high power setups (even with mechanical mods) is LARGELY overstated. The cells used in vaping are not ticking time bombs that are waiting to cause catastrophic damage just because you looked at them wrong, especially with QUALITY cells. When you add in the built in protections of a QUALITY regulated mod, like a Sig150, then risk is further attenuated.

The bottom line is with quality gear, if you stay within the specs of your batteries and mod then your risk is very very very low.

Your set up is fine..now a days .6 is kinda high still. You have a ton of room to even go lower in ohms and higher in watts. Just make sure your batteries are legit and since your mod runs in a series your batts aren't stressing out. Enjoy those smokes!

A 0.6 ohm coil at 75 watts (6.708 volts) should come out at 11.18amps (according to my ohms law calc). You are using a battery with 30amp capacity so you have 18.82amp headroom! Plus, as Smokie advised, your mod have some relatively decent safety features. I wouldn't worry, there is no reason that your set up is any less safe than anyone elses. Enjoy :)

You are quite safe, you are within the devices safe operating range. There is also a ton of built in safety features as previously mentioned just in case.

Has anyone actually tested those Sigelei batteries? I don't recall seeing any test results, and since Sig is a Chinese company I'm wondering if those are some Chinese produced cells, or a rewrap or a more common cell.

If they're potentially china cells, I'd consider an upgrade to some "name brand" batteries when you get a chance. Lg, Samsung, or Sony.
