Is vaping allowed on airliners?

Vaping is generally not allowed on commercial airplanes for several reasons, including:

  • Safety Concerns: The aerosol produced by e-cigarettes can contain nicotine and other chemicals that may be harmful to others, especially in the confined space of an airplane.
  • Fire Risk: E-cigarettes use batteries that can potentially overheat and pose a fire hazard.
  • Regulations: Many airlines follow regulations that prohibit smoking, which includes the use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices.
However, policies can vary by airline and by country, and they may change over time. It's always best to check with the specific airline you're flying with for their most current rules and regulations regarding vaping. Additionally, vaping is usually allowed in designated smoking areas at airports before boarding and after disembarking from flights.
