Is vaping bad? Can I do it safely?

Hello, I recently saw one of my friends vaping, and it smelled freaking amazing. I want to try it, but I don't want to become addicted. Can I get eliquid without ANY nicotine? Is vaping safe? I only want to do it for the taste/smell. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the VU! Yes you can get juice with zero nic. A recent study out of the UK claims vaping is 95% safer than smoking analogs.

ANYTHING will have risks. I believe vaping is safe. Surely LOTS safer than smoking.

And surely vaping will NOT cause you to gain weight, like eating the comparable things you can vape. If I want a banana muffin, I don't have to eat one and gain weight, which is unhealthy in itself.

Completely safe? Who knows. Doubtful. But no one really knows the level of harm.

Hi and welcome to the VU forum @JasonMorris47

I have been vaping 7 years, and no longer need inhalers, get bronchitis, and get out of breath. I myself or anyone in here are NOT doctors or health professionals but from my years of experience, and being in touch with thousands of vapers around the world I have yet to come across anyone having a illness from vaping, except those who may just have a allergic reaction to PG, VG, and/or certain food flavorings like if your allergic to apples then do not vape apple flavor. Of course anything can harm you if you abuse it or are uneducated in what you are doing. I always suggest to people to be a educated consumer by doing your research with making a educated decision. PS Please do not go by what the media says, they do not research anything and only have one agenda which is to make headlines for profits. In this forum you will find the help, and the experience of many vapers who's lives have been saved by making the switch in my opinion. ,
