iStick 100 Atomizer Problems

Okay, so I may have gotten what I paid for, but both of my iStick 100s crapped out in the last week after working for maybe 3 months.

Wife's: insists that there's no atomizer, even with one installed. Tried with several different tanks and RDAs, tried cleaning the threads, even tried lifting the pin like you'd do on a faulty eGo. Nothing.

Mine: Was telling me I had "low power," even with fully-charged batteries or in passthrough mode. That stopped, but now it's reading any atty I throw at it at roughly double the resistance (0.3 ohm coils read 0.64, 0.7 coils reading 1.68, etc.), firing for a fraction of a second, then shutting off and throwing a "protection" error message at me.

It doesn't appear any liquid has seeped in through the 510 connection, though I've only tried cleaning so far with paper towels and q-tips with a dab of alcohol. Going to get a can of compressed air and try blowing them out because I've heard that works, even though it seems to me like if there is liquid down the hole that'll only make things worse.

Any thoughts?

@AmandaD, @Huckleberried told me to tag you in...lil' help if you can please?

Well, you can open it up to see if there are any loose wires. Kinda sounds like a bum unit to me though...

I'm not much use wiring anything smaller than a ceiling fan, and my soldering skills are pretty shameful even when it comes to 3/4" water pipe. But if I don't figure out a fix I may tear them down just to see how they tick, then go buy some more Sigeleis because the v1 100s I bought more than a year ago are still working great.

Sorry, no clue. On the original Istick 20 watt I was able to put pieces of rubber band around the 510 to keep it from squishing, but on the 100w it's spring loaded. Sounds like they've both died :-(
