Not had that happen... sounds kinda sketchy, though. When I bought mine I didn't have high expectations. It seems like there a whole lot more better options today for the money... At this point, I'd rather have a good 50 watt than a cheap 100 watt. As long as this thing doesn't blow up, it'll be okay, even if it just dies. It was cheap. I don't care.

I bought my iStick 100 since it was first released. I run it 50 to 60 watts all day at work. Hasn't let me down yet. It's truly a steal. The only negative is that the finish is quite slippery if my hands are dry. I fixed that by buying a silicone sleeve. That also helps for the people. Who shake the shit outta their mods. Bitching and complaining about battery rattle :D

It's really cheep, looks nice, does what it's supposed to, runs 2 18650s in parallel which means it going to last at least an entire day for most people, it's very compact compared to other 2 batt mods, seems to be more reliable and better constructed then the istick50 and even if it did break after a few months it's still worth the money.

You might consider the 60w TC. Yes, lower battery life with the single 18650, but you have the opinion of TC which mitigates that problem somewhat. Also, Eleaf moved away from their standard construction for the iStick like. The 60TC has a steel frame and cast side panels. The heat sink for the circuit board is almost the full height of the device and it has a good amount of air around it.

The new 60TC looks so nice that I'm tempted to give away my Kbox mini to a friend so I have an excuse to buy one, but I'll never replace my eLeaf 100W as long as it continues to work as well as it has over the past 3+ months. The batteries easily last a whole day of heavy vaping on my 0.5 ohm flavor build at 34W. Light for a dual batt mod and fits great in the hand.

I like the skin/sleeve idea. I don't think the batteries rattle as much as the buttons (which i understand the sleeve will stop that, but honestly, I could care less as long as they don't break down). In fact, the battery compartment is so freakin tight it tore the wrapping off the tops of my efests and it shorted them out (they started venting!)... not very fond of efest, anyway. Not too bad with the Sony's since their wrapping doesn't seem as thick. Other than the clicking it runs well and I also use mine at work. I've had mine for a couple of months, now. I don't like the way the top of the unit fogs up, and yeah, it's definitely slippery, especially if juice gets on it, but nothing I can't live with.

The batteries don't rattle at all, it's just the -+ buttons that do, but that can be fixed easily by opening the bottom cover and placing something between the buttons and the mod body.
I found that the best way to put batteries in is to hold them straight and push them in, instead of - side then +.

Hello All,

So my Uwell Crown arrived today along with my VTF4. I wanted to try out the Crown, so I filled it with my favorite juice and started to remove the Subtank Plus that was sitting atop the Eleaf 100w. Anyway, as I was taking the Subtank off, I heard a pop as I got it off. The top of the istick was protruding a few mm, so I gentle pressed it back in.

Now whenever I put a new tank on, it keeps saying "Atomizer Short"... Did I push the connector pin in too deep so that it isn't recognizing the tanks / atomizers anymore? Is there anyway that I can pull the connector pin out?

As always, thanks for your help,

I recommend using high temp epoxy like JB weld when reinforcing your 510 instead of glue though. As below. Your intent should be to keep the 510 from rotating, not necessarily to glue it down, so applying the epoxy to one side (opposite the leads) should be enough.
