I have an iStick Pico 75w with a Merlin tank. I put a SS316L staggered fused clapton in it and it reads .16 ohms. I tried putting it in TC mode for SS and it keeps going back to wattage mode. In TC mode it's supposed to be good from .05-1.5 ohms so I'm not sure why it keeps switching back to wattage mode.

It works fine in wattage mode, but I prefer TC mode when ever possible. Any ideas why it keeps changing back to wattage mode?

The coil I just replaced was a SS316L clapton that read .54 ohms and worked great in TC mode. Unfortunately the coil I put in is a pre-built as I lack the knowledge and patience to make staggered fused claptons or regular claptons for that matter. Guess I'll just use it in wattage mode until I decide to change the coil again and go back to a higher ohm clapton build like I had before.

I just figured it should work since the specs say it will work down to .05 ohms in TC mode and it's reading .16 ohms.

After further testing I'm not sure what is up. I tried the Merlin tank on my Target Pro in TC mode reading .16 ohms and it works fine. Also tried it on my RX2/3 in TC mode also reading .16 ohms and it works fine. I tried the tank that came with my Target Pro with a NI200 .2 ohm coil which read .17 ohms on the Pico and it works fine without changing to wattage mode.

It seems the Pico will work in TC mode down to at least .17 ohms for NI. Guess I'll wait until I drain the tank and check to make sure everything is tight, though it's working on 2 different mods without issue.

Only other thing I can think of is the coils might not be SS316L, but it's working on other mods.

At least it works in wattage mode so the money spent on the coils isn't wasted.
