2 of my grands- Athena and Gavin, not sure what they are suppose to be, I think Minions? They look like Elton John to me, lol! My daughter texted me their picture cause the weather is horrible for Trick or Treat , they live way out in the country and she brings the kids here every year to Trick or Treat in my neighborhood.

The scariest movies I have ever seen are The Night Of The Living Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, Jaws and The Strangers. I really Hate scary movies and these were the all time worst for me, the movie The Strangers scared me to never sit through another horror movie ever again. Bothered me for days after.

I don't care for them either, as a kid I used to like some like Frankenstein, Mummy, the creature, but they were different that the hack and gore movies of today

Is everyone gettin any trick or treaters?
We've only had one group of three

We just had a ton of kids come through the neighborhood.

There are a few trawler parks nearby that have crime issues.
Many of the responsible parents who are also living in those areas bring their kids to different neighborhoods for trick or treating.

The local police encourage people to come to the area.

They allow people to park on the side of the main road (that is usually only meant for broken down vehicles) on Halloween only.
There is a church down the street that was packed with cars.
They allow people to park there to come trick or treat as well.

There were quite a few Golf Cart trailer and truck trailer hay rides full of kids as well.

Those look like fun.
You jump in the back on the hay with your friends while your parents drive you to the next house.
Then you jump out and get candy. :)

Here we've had 3 trick or treaters so far. We used to get a lots of kids but then most of us old folks died and the whole neighborhood changed. When the neighborhood changed the trick or treaters got less and less.
I enjoy seein the kids all dressed up. Jean went out about 15 minutes ago and she said she didn't see anyone on our street so I am figurin it about over.

I think my scariest is "Carnival of Souls", 1962. Black & white, terrible acting, but I love it, still have the DVD. It was the only movie Candace Hilligoss was ever in. After that she decided to be a stay at home mom.

You'll find it widely panned if you search it online, and people just don't understand. The characters were all freaks except for Mary (Hilligoss), but not easily recognized as freaks. You have to pay attention.

That movie sent me in search of its director, Herk Harvey, but nothing else he did was as truly good as "Carnival of Souls".

My neighborhood gets kids brought in from other areas. Nothing organized I think, just parents bringing their kids where they think the treats will be better.

I notice people everywhere say they don't get many trick-or-treaters anymore. I think it relates to steadily declining birth rates over the last few decades.
