Oni Press is now five issues into their comic book revival of the short-lived but beloved animated series Invader Zim. So far the series has done a great job of replicating the distinctive look and feel of the show, probably because creator Jhonen Vasquez and other Zim veterans are still steering the ship.
Invader Zim #5 hit the stands this week, offering a new adventure focused on Dib and his militant sister Gaz and crammed with video game parodies. We figured now would be a great time to chat with Vasquez and hear his thoughts on working with Zim again, his changing role on the series and his love of video games.
