Starz and Lionsgate are developing a John Wick TV series titled The Continental, Starz announced at the Television Critics Association winter 2018 press tour.
The show will be set in the John Wick universe and take place in a hyper-real version of Los Angeles, with the story focusing on the inner workings of the Continental Hotel. Starz promises the series will maintain the same fast-paced action and dry humor from the two John Wick films.
Chris Collins (The Wire, The Man in the High Castle, Sons of Anarchy) will serve as showrunner and pen the series, with the premiere episode helmed by John Wick co-director and John Wick: Chapter 2 director Chad Stahelski.
Stahelski and Collins will also be executive producing along with Keanu Reeves, David Leitch (co-director of John Wick and Deadpool 2 director), Derek Kolstad (John Wick franchise screenwriter), and Basil Iwanyk (John Wick franchise producer).
