Black Mass is earning Johnny Depp some of the best notices of his career, including Academy Awards chatter for his performance as Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger, but the actor's not having any of it.
In a chat with BBC, Depp outright said he doesn't want an Oscar for this performance or any other. “I don’t want to win one of those things ever, you know,” said Depp. He added, "The idea of winning means that you’re in competition with someone and I’m not in competition with anybody."
But there's another reason why Depp doesn't want to win: making an acceptance speech. "I don't want to have to talk."
