Joytech think is dead :(

Good evening been a while since I been on the forums and vaped. Ling story short got sick wasn't sure if it was the vaping that caused it or could of been letting everyone at work try it out that got me sick but anyways. Got baxk on it 3 days ago sold Everthing but my joytech box mod the black one with the red stripe and my atlantis 2 was enjoying it all again. Well on the way home it just stopped keeps saying short circuit. Messed with it a bit cleaned the box mod thought maybe it could of been coil changed it no go. Got it charging now gonna see what happens in the morning. Any help appreciated sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Right section. Is it an Evic VT? Clean the 510 connection with a swab dipped in rubbing alcohol or vodka. Test to see if the center conductor is still springy. if not, then it might of gotten smushed down to far and is binding and shorting out. It that is the case, take a toothpick or tiny slot screwdriver and wiggle the center spring loaded pin till it snaps up into place under spring tension (from underneath it).

It's sounding like you might need to tinker with the 510 on the device just be careful cause if it breaks you'll need to buy a new mod.

I had the same problem with mine, it was a smushed 510 center pin (conductor). Otherwise, I've beat the hell out of mine with a .75 ohm dripper at 60 watts.

Even if I take the tank off it still shows like there is a tank on there. Normally would say no optimizer

Wow, your only mod quit working, what bad luck! I've had great luck with Kanger mods. I've been vaping for over 3 years and have many devices but the Kanger Subox is my favorite. If you want temperature control, try the kbox 70watt mod. I just got mine in today and it vapes like a champ. I got a topfill Kanger Subtank mini, the 70watt mod, charger, RDA, and RDA accessories, plus three kinds of coils in this kit for $68. You'll need a 18650 battery, $10, and a battery charger at $15.
(The 120 kbox is more expensive, and I personally don't need 120w). Best of all the Kanger top box kit works with temp control, and regular mode.

My iStick 50w are all three still working great too, and paired with Mini Subtank 2's are good devices for less money. There's a 60watt tc iStick, too.
The only thing I don't like about the iStick is the internal battery; when it goes the istick becomes obsolete.

I don't know how inclined you are to take the eVic VT apart but in my experience it is really easy. Make sure to click 5X to turn off. Do be careful when sliding the body off and be aware of the battery leads. You may have got some juice in there from the top flip switch, or have a funked up 510 pin that won't "spring" back.
I am not an expert so take what I say with a grain of salt but I would try spraying around in there with some
WD-40 300083 Specialist Electrical Contact Cleaner Spray 11 oz.
(Pep Boys?) or something of that nature. I'm sure there are better options but I am winging it here.
If anyone else has a better product to try feel free to correct me but since the mod is junk not working as of now, I do not think it can hurt.

May try that out. Always fun to take something apart lol. But what weirds me out the spring actually has tension on it when ya push it down.

Yeah got it on the evic now. Filed up the smok lastnight and I guess I didn't seal it good had juice everwhere meh.
