I got a sweet deal on an P4U IPV 6X, and I was wondering what would be a good Jules setting if I wanted to vape nickel or SS in TC mode at around 460-480F? This will be my first device with a Yihi chip, so not up to speed on jules yet.
For our purposes... Joules are identical and interchangeable with Watts.
For some reason (legal considerations with Evolv using Watts perhaps) P4Y decided to use Joules for their interface... as far as I know, no one else cares.
I personally don't vape that hot as a rule, usually around 420F, give or take depending on the build (and if I've been too lazy,
again, to rewick

) but of more import... you don't mention a resistance or range, or what type of coil. An exotic, heavy metal build (Claptons and beyond) will require more power than a simple coil for a satisfactorily short ramp-up time.
You can't go wrong starting low and working your way up to what works best for you... gives the coil and wick a chance to "break-in" as well. But generally... I can expect to work up to about 30-35 watts or so with simple 0.5 ohm coils, more or less depending. And proportionally more with a coil built to a lower resistance. Just ballpark starting points though... some simple 0.5's may easily take 45 Watts. Dual coils even more.
And then... more wattage for TC, as the mod will use it for ramp-up control then back off as it hits set temp.
Simple eh?
eta: Sorry... distracted and posting (at least I'm not drunk

Should have noted your join date and post count... you probably know most everything I wrote.
Just ignore everything but the first graph. I'll leave the rest in place in case it helps someone else.
