Long time mixer first time poster

A grain is about .06 grams. Not a very handy unit of measurement. The scale you listed states it is only accurate to 0.1 grams in gram mode. You really want one that goes to 0.01 grams as in the one listed above.

Drops are really the least accurate method of measure. As long as you can repeat it accurately it will work but you start running in to problems if you are trying to follow some ones recipe or if you want to share yours with others.
